Weird Corals are one of the many resources you can gather in Sand: Raiders of Sophie, provided you know where to find them.
Unlike a lot of other resources, though, Weird Corals are generally not found in containers and the like. They’re instead dropped by specific zombie-like enemies, and you’re not guaranteed to get them every time.
In this guide, I’ll tell you everything you need to know to find and collect Weird Corals.
Where to Find Weird Corals

As of this writing, the only place where you can find Weird Corals seems to be as a random drop from Upiors. These are the zombie-like creatures with purple coral growths on them, shown above.
Now, Upiors have relatively random spawn locations, so they’re not always found in the same places in every Expedition. That said, you can often find them at most points of interest.

To make things a bit easier, look for any points of interest and wrecks that have large coral growths on them. You can see an example of these growths in the screenshot above, for reference.
I highly recommend sticking to the major named points of interest marked on your map for this. These areas contain more coral infestations, so they also contain more Upiors. That does mean they’re more dangerous, though, so be prepared!
Lastly, it’s worth noting that the Weird Corals are not guaranteed drops from Upiors. They are random, so don’t be discouraged if you get nothing from a few Upior kills. Just keep trying until you get the Weird Corals you need.
So, there you have it! That’s all you need to know about where to find Weird Corals in Sand: Raiders of Sophie. In short, you just need to kill the zombie-like Upiors found at coral-infested points of interest.
