With so many options on how to build a Trampler in Sand: Raiders of Sophie, it can be hard to figure out what’s best to do for a late game build.
There are a few main factors to consider, after all. Primarily, you need a Trampler that is good against boarding, while also being strong for taking other Tramplers head on! Finding the right balance is key.
In this guide, I’ll give you a build that’s excellent for the late game. Do note it requires a crew of 3 players, however!
Tech Tree

First things first, let’s go over all of the various Tech Tree unlocks you’ll need. Unlocking all of them is bound to be time and resource consuming, but here’s a quick shopping list of what you need:
- Godlewski’s Expedition – II(a). Captain’s Cabin, II(a). Motor Reactor, III(a). Medium Engine.
- Kaiser’s Friends – I(a). Cargo Deck, I(b). Balconies, II(b). Middling Chassis, II(c). Cargo Bay.
- K.K. Landwehr – I(a). Artillery Decks, I(a). Framed Steering, I(b). Framed Artillery Deck, II(c). Battering Ram.
Once you’ve unlocked every single one of these Tech Tree upgrades, you’re set with the first part of this build! Next up is making the Trampler itself.
Trampler Build

Now, for the Trampler build itself. It’s worth noting that the bottom layer here is using the same principles we outlined in our guide about secure Trampler entrances.
The gist of it is that this build nearly guarantees a very predictable path of any boarding hostiles. In doing so, this gives you and your crew more time to detect them before they start blowing doors up. Every second counts when dealing with intruding players!
For that purpose, remove the connecting door between the entrance and the Crew Cabin. Allowing invading players to jump to it makes them more likely to spend time just checking things out.
With those basics in mind, follow the video below for the full build. This will tell you exactly where to place everything for the ideal Trampler setup.
Cannons

When it comes to the cannons, things are fairly simple. You should have two 40mm Autocannons for the corner cannons. Then, use a 70mm Shotgun Cannon above the steering wheel.
The 40mm Autocannons are primarily used to attack other Tramplers themselves. As for the 70mm Shotgun Cannon, its main purpose is to absolutely obliterate enemy players. It’s as simple as that!
Also, do note that the Battering Ram technically counts as a cannon. So, if you’re wondering why the build shows 4 Cannons when you only really have 3, that’s why.
Crew and Roles
Last but not least, let’s talk about the crew. This Trampler build is meant for a crew of 3 players, and everyone having a designated role can make things easier during expeditions!
First, one player should be the “captain”. They will be focused on steering the Trampler and using the cannon directly to their left. They should leave the cannon to the right and the Shotgun Cannon to other players.
Another player should be designated to use the 70mm Shotgun Cannon. They don’t really need to focus on much else unless things get hectic, just the Shotgun Cannon.
As for the third and final player, they should be inside the Motor Reactor engine room primarily. When the captain gives the signal, this player should boost the engine to use the Battering Ram.
For this final player, they should also make sure to go up to the second layer of the Trampler after boosting. They’ll then use the Autocannon to the right of the steering wheel and try to aim at the enemy Trampler’s reactor.
With that, everyone should have a clear-cut role and know what to do whenever combat against other Tramplers starts! Make sure everyone knows their role before setting out on an expedition.
Regardless, that’s all you need to know about this late game Trampler build in Sand: Raiders of Sophie! This Trampler is great for dealing with hostile Tramplers and boarding players. I hope your crew finds success with it.
