BEST Base Locations for Crude Oil in Palworld Sakurajima Update

Palworld is an open world adventure game which is kind of similar to Pokémon. But instead of catching Pokémons, you catch creatures called Pals in this game. This game is available on PC and Xbox One & Series S | X.

The game recently got a huge update called Sakurajima which added a whole new island with a bunch of new Pals to catch. New resources were also added to the game and Crude Oil is one of them. It is required for getting a lot of the new stuff such as Plasteel, etc.

Best Base Locations for Getting Crude Oil

There are a lot of crude oil nodes available throughout the map, these are shown by circular brown areas and oil markers on the map. However, not all of these locations are optimal for setting up a base. The best base locations for crude oil in different areas are mentioned below.

Sakurajima Island Best Crude Oil Base Locations

Following are the 4 best location for setting up a base in Sakurajima Island for getting crude oil:

1st Location

• Coordinates: -512, 170.
• 2 oil nodes.
• 3 coal nodes.
• Lots of trees.

2nd Location

• Coordinates: -636, 275.
• 2 oil nodes.
• 3 stone nodes.
• 1 coal node.
• Sulfur nodes are also present here.
• Flat area, good for building your base.
• You will also find Pals in this area which drop crude oil.

3rd Location

• Coordinates: -373, 128.
• 2 oil nodes.
• 1 coal node.
• Some sulfur nodes.
• Pretty flat and spacious area.

4th Location

• Coordinates: -494, 105.
• 2 oil nodes.
• 2 sulfur nodes.
• Flat area with a decent amount of space for building your base.

Mount Obsidian Best Crude Oil Base Locations

These are the 4 best locations for building a base to get crude oil in Mount Obsidian:

1st Location

• Coordinates: -854, -455.
• 3 oil nodes (only location which has this).
• Not the best area for building a base but it will be the most efficient in getting a lot of crude oil.

2nd Location

• Coordinates: -696, -669.
• 1 oil node.
• Metal and coal nodes found around the area.
• This area is close to a lake so it looks pretty good. Only build here if you want a good looking place.

3rd Location

• Coordinates: -602, -718 .
• 1 oil node.
• A lot of metal, coal and stone nodes are found in this area.
• Located near a waterfall so it looks amazing as well.

4th Location

• Coordinates: -321, -533.
• 1 oil node.
• Also has stone nodes.
• Flat with a large area for building a base.
• This is the only crude oil area which does not have a heat requirement. Only build your base here if heat is a problem for you.

Astral Mountains Best Crude Oil Base Locations

Following are 4 locations where you can build a base in Astral Mountains for getting crude oil:

1st Location

• Coordinates: -211, 630.
• 1 oil node.
• This area has a lot of trees. It also has quartz and metal nodes.
• The area is flat and large enough to build a decent base here.

2nd Location

• Coordinates: 146, 423.
• 1 oil node.
• Has quartz and metal nodes.

Desiccated Desert Best Crude Oil Base Locations

Following are the 5 best locations for building a base in the Desiccated Desert:

1st Location

• Coordinates: 316, 568.
• 1 oil node.
• 3 metal nodes.
• Coal nodes and a lot of trees nearby.

2nd Location

• Coordinates: 300, 594.
• 3 oil nodes (but you will only be able to get 2 under a single base radius).
• Metal and coal nodes are also found here.

3rd Location

• Coordinates: 314, 485.
• 2 oil nodes.
• Also has metal and stone nodes.
• Trees and coal nodes are also found nearby.

4th Location

• Coordinates: 294, 234.
• 2 oil nodes.
• 8 coal nodes.
• Decent amount of trees located nearby.

5th Location

• Coordinates: 637, 154.
• 2 oil nodes.
• A lot of coal nodes.
• Trees, stone nodes and metal nodes are also found here.

How to extract Crude Oil

Now that you know where to set up your base, the next step is actually getting the crude oil. To get crude oil, you need to build a Crude Oil Extractor.

A single crude oil extractor requires 250 Pal Metal Ingots and 50 Circuit Boards to build. Also keep in mind that this structure will unlock at level 50. You will also need a Power Supply to make the crude oil extractors function and you can use the newly added Large Generator to easily achieve this.
