The 1.1 update for V Rising, Invaders of Oakveil, adds a bunch of new weapons and spells for you to use.
There are three whole new weapon types, and they are quite unique on their own. But, since that isn’t good enough on its own, the developers also saw fit to add a new spell to every single spell school in the game. So, in total, you’re looking at 3 new weapon types and 6 new spells!
Eager to find out what these new goodies are? Read on and we’ll give you an overview of all of them.
All New Weapons & Spells | V Rising 1.1: Invaders of Oakveil
Twinblade
A long melee weapon with dual blades. Used as a polearm for quick wide-arching attacks, but it can also be thrown for some extra range. Unlocked by slaying Gaius the Cursed Champion.
Abilities:
Primary Attack – Perform a combo of double melee attacks which deals 60% / 60% / 80% physical damage.
Javelin – Throw the twinblade like a javelin, hence the name. Deals 125% physical damage and applies a slowing effect for 1.5 seconds in a small area. You can also recall your weapon after 2 seconds, which deals 80% physical damage and pulls enemies in the way. Recast while recalling to dash to the weapon instead.
Sweeping Strike – Lunge forward and deal 100% physical damage in a straight line. Also, any enemies hit will be launched and land behind you.
Daggers
Short knives, though you won’t be stabbing anyone directly with these. They are used as throwing knives, making them a quick mid-range weapon. Unlocked by slaying Bane the Shadowblade.
Abilities:
Primary Attack – Throw up to 4 daggers, with each one dealing 40% physical damage. Daggers that hit enemies or objects will become stuck. You regain 1 dagger every second.
Rain of Daggers – Jump high and throw 4 daggers at the ground in front of you, each one dealing 40% physical damage and inflicting a slowing snare effect for 2 seconds. The daggers stay out for 8 seconds.
Release Daggers – Inflicts a slowing snare effect 1.5 seconds first. Then, releases all stuck daggers and recalls them toward the caster. Recalled daggers pierce through enemies and deal 40% physical damage on their path. Each returning dagger grants 1 dagger and reduces the cooldown of Rain of Daggers by 0.2 seconds.
Claws
Close-range melee weapons with a big focus on mobility. Anyone who’s a fan of Wolverine will love this one! Unlocked by slaying Frostmaw the Mountain Terror.
Abilities:
Primary Attack – Perform a triple-hit combo that deals 40% / 40% / 50%. The final hit inflicts 1 stack of Puncture. When an enemy has 3 stacks of Puncture, a rupture will trigger and deal 75% damage to that enemy, as well as 50% damage to nearby enemies.
Lunge – A quick lunge at your cursor’s direction. Cleaves through enemies, deals 120% damage, and applies 1 stack of Puncture.
Skewering Leap – Leap into the air and then descend upon the ground. This deals 100% physical damage and inflicts 1 stack of Puncture to any enemy you land on. It also incapacitates them for 1 second. Landing on an enemy will give you a tiny bounce, allowing for consecutive attacks on multiple enemies. Missing the initial leap will temporarily stop you from moving for a brief moment.
All New Spells
With all the new weapons covered, it’s time to go over all of the new spells we also get to use in V Rising 1.1: Invaders of Oakveil. There are quite a few, as every Spell School has a new spell. Here’s all of them:
Blood: Carrion Swarm – Summon 4 blood bats which rush toward your target in a line. The bats pierce through enemies, dealing 50% magic damage and inflicting Leech.
Chaos: Rain of Chaos – Cast 8 chaos meteors that shower the surrounding area for 3.2 seconds. Meteors deal up to 380% magic damage and inflict Ignite.
Unholy: Chains of Death – Shackle your target with a magical chain that reduces their speed by 10% to 30%, depending on distance. Channel the spell for up to 1.7 seconds to deal 260% magic damage and inflict Condemn. The chain breaks if the distance between you and the target passes 14-meters, which also applies a snare effect for 2 seconds.
Illusion: Curse – Summon 5 wisps in a cone, inflicting Weaken and Curse. Curse reduces movement speed by 25% for 3.5 seconds and takes 40% of all damage taken as bonus damage. When the Curse effect ends, it deals a maximum of 500% damage. Every enemy hit by the wisps grants a stack of Phantasm.
Frost: Artic Storm – Cast a wave of frost that lasts 1.2 seconds and deals 180% magic damage and inflicts Chill. After the wave ends, conjure a cone of cold which applies Freezing to your target for 2 seconds.
Storm: Lightning Tendrils – Launch 6 lightning bolts in a sequence, with each one dealing 40% magic damage and inflicting Static.
That’s all of the new spells and weapons you can get in V Rising 1.1: Invaders of Oakveil! We recommend checking out our full 1.1 update changes overview for more.
