If you’re trying to melt bosses quickly in V Rising 1.1, you’ll want to use the best boss killing build possible. Specifically, you want a build that’s optimized for single-target damage, mobility, and sustain.

Speccing yourself for killing regular mobs and killing bosses is not the same. While PvE builds can still work against bosses, the difficulty will ramp up once you start taking on Brutal difficulty or late-game encounters.

At this point, specialized setups meant for killing bosses become way more effective.

Thankfully, V Rising does make it extremely easy for you to just swap things around in your build to suit every situation. So, there’s really no reason not to use a build that can just obliterate bosses, right?

Without further ado, let’s look at this powerful bossing build and why it’s so strong.

Best Boss Killing Build in V Rising 1.1

In the current meta, you need a build that combines consistent ranged pressure, mobility, sustain, cooldown efficiency, and safe burst windows.

While a pure melee build can still work, a lot of bosses in Brutal difficulty can be extremely punishing if you overcommit at close range. It’s for this reason that hybrid and range-focused setups tend to dominate most encounters in the current meta.

With that out of the way, let’s go over everything you need for this build.

Weapons

For the weapon, you want to go with Pistols, which remain one of the safest and most reliable bossing weapons in the game thanks to their mobility, iframe utility, and excellent poke damage.

Besides, their evasiveness becomes especially valuable in Brutal difficulty since bosses can chain their mechanics much more aggressively.

If you’re not a fan of pistols, you can go for the Whip as another excellent option if you prefer a more aggressive mid-range playstyle. It offers strong, sustained DPS while still keeping you relatively safe during movement-heavy fights.

These weapons get even stronger once you gain access to legendary variants with cooldown reduction or spell leech affixes.

Spells

As for the spells, you want to go for Chaos Barrage.

This spell is still one of the strongest spells for PvE in the game, thanks to its excellent scaling and huge single-target damage. You want to pair it with Spectral Wolf for reliable sustain and constant pressure at a decent range.

At this point, you can just ditch Sanguine Coil. While builds that rely on spamming this spell still work, it has been nerfed hard which made it less dominant than before.

For your Dash ability, go for Veil of Chaos. It’s by far the safest and most versatile option for dashing during boss fights.

And for the ultimate, go for Heart Strike as it offers amazing burst damage as well as mobility during some of the most dangerous boss mechanics.

You can also go for Arctic Leap when going against bosses in tighter arenas, but this one is more situational.

Blood Type

For the blood, I recommend going for Scholar blood, as it’s still the strongest overall option for a spell-focused build. It grants cooldown reduction, increased spell damage, and the ability to reset all spell cooldowns after performing your Ultimate.

An alternative would be Warrior Blood which pairs well with the Pistols and Whips.

How to Play This Build

Now that we’ve laid out every component of this boss killing build for V Rising 1.1, it’s best to talk about how to actually use it.

The strength of this build lies in its ability to maintain constant pressure on your target while minimizing risk.

Start encounters by applying ranged pressure using Chaos Barrage and your weapon attacks. Save Veil of Chaos for unavoidable mechanics rather than using it aggressively.

You should also use Spectral Wolf consistently for sustain and safe chip damage while repositioning. Once you learn boss patterns, this build becomes extremely reliable for nearly every V Blood encounter in the game.

And there you have it! That’s our recommended best boss killing build in V Rising 1.1. We recommend checking out our guide on farming 100% Quality Blood, as well.
