If you’re finding yourself eager to quickly take out bosses in V Rising 1.1, you’ll want to use the best boss killing build possible.

Speccing yourself for killing regular mobs and killing bosses is not the same. Thankfully, V Rising does make it extremely easy for you to just swap things around in your build to suit every situation. So, there’s really no reason not to use a build that can just obliterate bosses specifically, right?

Read on and we’ll tell all about this powerful bossing build and why it’s so strong.

Best Boss Killing Build | V Rising 1.1

First of all, let’s go over everything you need for this build. After that, we’ll give you the specifics on how to actually utilize the build. Now, here’s what the build entails:

  • Spells
    • Veil of Chaos with Violet Rock Jewel. Obtained from Jade the Vampire Hunter.
    • Lightning Tendrils with Fulminated Stone Jewel. Can be unlocked with a Tier 2 Storm Spell Point from Ziva the Engineer, Domina the Blade Dancer, or Voltatia the Power Master.
    • Frost Barrier with Indignant Chill Jewel. Can be unlocked with a Tier 2 Frost Spell Point from General Elena the Hollow, Ben the Old Wanderer, or Dantos the Forgebinder.
    • Ultimate: Volatile Arachnid. Can be unlocked with a Tier 3 Unholy Spell Point from Nicholaus the Fallen or Ungora the Spider Queen.
  • Passives: Enhanced Conductivity, Cold Soul, Renewing Flames, Wicked Power, Dark Enchantment.
  • Blood Types
    • Primary: Draculin 100%.
    • Infused: Scholar using the following Traits:
      • Trait III – 20% Ultimate Power and reset your Spell Cooldowns when using an Ultimate.
      • Trait IV – 12 Increased Spell Charge Gain.
  • Weapons
    • You want to get Mortira’s Lament as your primary weapon. Its unique Howling Reaper ability modification allows you to summon Skeleton Warriors relatively often, if you’re lucky. Get modifiers that buff Spell Cooldown Rate, Spell Critical Power, and Bonus Spell Power.
    • For your secondary, you want the highest tier of Longbow you can get. That’s enough on its own, but it’s ideal to infuse the Multishot ability with Chaos Infusion, as well. This will make all hits penetrate while inflicting Ignite. Physical Damage and Critical Chance modifiers are also ideal.
  • Armor: Any 2 pieces of Dracula’s Maleficer set combined with any 2 pieces of the regular Maleficer set. This setup is primarily meant to maximize Spell Cooldown Rate bonuses.

How To Play This Build

Now that we’ve laid down every component of this boss killing build for V Rising 1.1, it’s best to talk about how to actually use it.

First of all, you want to initiate battles with your Frost Barrier. Whether or not you block a hit with it or not doesn’t fully matter. Just make sure that the recast goes off and applies Chill on the boss. This is mostly to activate the passive Cold Soul effect.

Then, dash in with Veil of Chaos and do a single melee attack to apply Ignite on the boss. Just as before, this is mostly for triggering another passive effect: Renewing Flames.

To finish off the combo, cast Lightning Tendrils to deal massive damage to the boss. If you have the full build setup, Lightning Tendrils will also work wonders for obliterating any annoying minions and mobs the bosses end up summoning!

As for your weapons, you mainly want to try to use the Longbow’s Multishot followed up by Mortira’s Lament’s Howling Reaper, in that order. Ideally, both should also be comboed right after Frost Barrier for maximum damage. That said, feel free to use your weapons as you see fit during battles. You can do great damage at either melee or long range, so they give you a lot of versatility.

Lastly, let’s talk about your Ultimate, Volatile Arachnid. You want to try casting it while your normal spells are on cooldown. The explosive spiders are very strong, of course, but the main benefit you get from the Ultimate is the cooldown reset due to the Scholar Blood Trait III. You can chain two full combos together if you cast an Ultimate in between!

So, there you have it, that’s our recommended best boss killing build in V Rising 1.1. We recommend checking out our guide on farming 100% Quality Blood, as well.
