ARK Fjordur: Where to Find Ferox | Location Guide

The Ferox is a tiny creature that’s similar in size to that of the Jerboa. When you encounter one in the wild, it will randomly dig a ground once it senses an Element Dust. If it manages to find one, it will then give it to you. In a way, the Ferox is a cute creature, except that it has one unique ability.

Contrary to what you might be thinking, Ferox is not a shoulder pet. This is because it has the ability to shift to a giant form if given Element. While in its giant form, it will have increased stats which makes it an excellent boss killer. It can even wear a helmet!

That said, if you want to tame one in Fjordur, then you need to head over to a specific location. This guide will show you where it is.

Where to Find Ferox in ARK Fjordur

The location where you can find a handful of Ferox is on coordinates 20.7, 08.5. Here, you’ll find an entrance to the cave where several Ferox are roaming about. This is a pretty small cave, but you have to make sure you have enough hypothermal insulation.

Since the cave is on the snow biome, make sure you wear a complete Fur armor set.

Deep into the cave, you’ll encounter a number of creatures such as Direwolves and Polar Bears. You can also find some Ferox here as well. There’s also a small lake in the middle of the cave where you can go fishing.
