Song of the Prairie is a new farming sim game where you gather resources, harvest crops, speak with charming characters, and more while trying to run your own farm.
Of course, running a farm isn’t cheap by any means. You will likely have some trouble with money in the early game.
In this guide, we’ll do our best to tell you how to rake in some profits in the early game! Let’s dive into it.
How to Get Gold Early in Song of the Prairie
As a farming sim game, there’s really only one good way to get lots of money at any point in the game: good ol’ farming.
You want to start cleaning up your farm as soon as you can, then create crops by using your Hoe.
Get as many seeds as you can and plant as many crops as possible at once. Make sure to water them properly, too!
As you get better at growing plants, you will get an increased chance to spawn Silver and Gold plants. These are rare, but they can be sold for a huge amount of money.
Use some of the money you get to expand your farm, such as by getting larger amounts of seeds to sow at once.
Having more sown seeds won’t just directly lead to more plants to sell! It will also mean you have a higher chance of spawning Silver and Gold plants.
Note that you might want to keep a few Silver and Gold plants stored away for yourself. They are sometimes required to complete quests!
Once you have a bountiful harvest, just approach the Shipping Bin on your farm. Deposit all the plants you wish to sell. You can see how much money you will get on the bottom right.
When it’s all deposited, you will need to wait for the next in-game day. Your harvest will be automatically sold and you will receive the money instantly!
Keep expanding your farm and leveling your character’s farming ability. You will see profits increasing exponentially in no time!
