Song of the Prairie is the latest farming simulator game to hit Early Access on Steam. It follows the typical mechanics and nuances of most farming simulator games on the market.

You raise crops and harvest them, take care of various animals, interact with the townspeople, and so on. It’s basically a simplified version of Stardew Valley but in 3D.

However, if you’re playing the game for the first time, you might notice that the game’s language is not set to English. Instead, it’s set to Chinese considering its developers are from Hong Kong.

Luckily, there’s a quick fix for that, and we’re going to show you how to do it in this guide.

As you launch the game and arrive at the main menu, you might be greeted by this menu as shown in the image above.

As you can see, the game’s language is Chinese by default.

This can make it rather confusing to start a game since you don’t really know which among those options to choose. Unless, of course, you know how to speak Chinese.

To change that to English, all you have to do is choose the second option. This is the Setting window. Once inside the Setting, click on the third option on the left sidebar to open Game Settings.

Inside Game Settings, all you have to do is click on the arrow on the first option. This will then change the game’s language to English.

Once you’re done, you can then go back to the main menu and start a new game.

As far as we know, the game only comes in both English and Simplified Chinese. That said, you can freely switch between the two anytime you like.
