A Plague Tale Requiem: Knife and Secret Chest Location in Chapter 5 In Our Wake

Like most games of its type, A Plague Tale Requiem has dozens of Secrets scattered around the game. From secret accessories or weapons, secret loot to uncover and secret chests to loot from.

These, secret objects are not necessarily required for you to complete the game but finding them can be very rewarding so actively looking for them can pay dividends in terms of survivability as you progress to higher levels.

In this guide, we will be showing you where the secret chest is for Chapter 5: In Our Wake, and how to open the chest in A Plague Tale Requiem.

Knife and Secret Chest Location for Chapter 5: In Our Wake in A Plague Tale Requiem

Chapter 5, In Our Wake, opens up with you and Lukas having to go higher up from your location. The lower ground area is littered with Plague Rats that can swarm and kill you within a matter of seconds.

Attach an igniter to your sling and hurl the burning ammo toward the suspended crate. It will then burst into flames which will scatter the rats below. Run through the open space as fast as you could to get to the other side.

Use your sling to create a path up the platform

Once you reach the opposite side, climb up the ledge and look for the platforms for you to get further up. A ladder will be suspended there and you have to knock off the chain to let the ladder slide down.

Use your sling to do that and climb up the platform and continue your way to the top. The knife can be found in the area above.

Grab the knife on top of the barrel

Once you reach the top. There will be an open area with a shed. Go to one of the pillars of the shed and look for a barrel next to it. The knife can be found there. Grab it, and continue inside the shed.

Use your sling on the counterweight

Inside the building, there will be a counterweight suspended above the second floor. Position Yourself to where you can see the chain holding it up and use your sling to knock it off the chain.

Crawl under the floorboards to get to the chest

Make your way outside and go under the floorboards to get to the sealed-off area where the chest is located. Quickly loot the chest and get back to the other side and look for a stack of lumber a short distance from the shed.

Get the knife on a stack of lumber

Get to the back of the shed and squeeze through the wooden fence

Head towards the back of the building. There will be a wooden fence there. Squeeze through one of the boards and look for a ladder to take you to the second floor. The Secret Chest is located at the top of the second floor.

Use your knife on the chest

Lastly, use the knife to pry open the chest. When you get it open, loot the parts stored within. With that done, you have successfully found and looted the secret chest in chapter 5.
