Melee, ranged, damage, attacker, elemental type, these are the things you think of while choosing your main. Of course, there’s the cosmetic side of it like what character looks good, but overall, you want a character that would help you clear objectives fast or efficiently.

For today, let us help you through as we explore the different characters in-game and see who are the best ones to pick and invest in in-game.

To keep things simple, let’s class each character based on the best ones to the ones you should probably avoid. S TIER for characters that are best to invest on,  and A, B or C TIER for characters depending on how well they perform with C being the characters that you should avoid levelling early on.

Character Tier List for Tower of Fantasy

S TIER Characters are the best Characters to invest in. Whether playing free or spending cash, Top Tier grants you the best Bang for your Buck.

KING– is on the top of our list. Great damage dealing skills and one of the Highest Shield Break capabilities among the Characters. What sets King apart from the rest of the pack is that he’s easy to use and can both play DPS and Tank Roles easily.

SAMIR– talking about the highest damage In-game, Samir is probably on the Top of the list. Even at low star level, her aerial attacks deal high damage early in the game, at max star Level, she deals Massive single target damage that eats up a sizable chunk of Hp from anything she sets her eyes on.

COCO RITTER– Is one of the Best Utility Support characters in-game. With high Healing and buffs that you charge for your weapon skills, she works exceptionally well at a party. On PVP. she does exceptionally well with her skill set that potentially stun locks an opponent while you gradually work on their Hp. She also has long range attacks and her heal makes her formidable in PVP.

TSUBASA– What’s obvious about Tsubasa on the tier list is her incredible damage buffs she brings which are stackable. The fact that you don’t have to invest a lot for upgrading her equipment or star level for her to perform effectively is an added incentive.

Next we have the A-TIER Characters. They might not be as good as the S Tier but they are good characters to invest on. Some of them might not be as easy to pick up and play, but mastering their skill set or positioning can pay off in the long run.

CROW– has massive single damage potential, but what separates him from being on the S-TIER is he has to be behind opponents for him to be effective. With positioning having to be an issue, this makes him an A-Tier character and is recommended for advanced players.

ENE– Being an SR Character, she is one of the easiest characters to use as a main as you start out. Getting copies for her is easier so ranking up her star level is fairly easy compared to other characters on the higher tier. She has good shield break capabilities and excellent DPS and being a tank, she easily has the staying power and damage making her the perfect balance for dealing damage and tanking.

MERYL– She has the second-best shield break capabilities compared to King. With her star level maxed out and with food equipment, she easily could be ranked as the best shield breaker. What separates her from the rest is that her skill locks people out and the cutscene on skill activation is pretty long leaving you open to attacks.

ZERO– He is a good character to pick because of his shield-generating skills. He does moderate damage and heals but what sets him apart is he offers you shield buffs as well as charging your weapon. All that while providing you with a steady flow of healing. If his star is upgraded, he adds all that with damage orbs that damage as well as enhances party attack by a moderate margin.

HUMA– this character is for players who love to do tank roles. She is all about soaking damage from enemies and has good shatter and charge. If you are looking for a tank main, then you would feel right at home with her.

CLAUDIA-She has good damage output and excellent debuff skills. However, for you to use her effectively, she requires more investment in her star level and upgrades before you can use her effectively. Once you collect enough materials to get her to at least 3 stars then that’s when you can start to use her effectively. At max stars, she easily could be ranked as an S-Tier character.

B-tier Characters

SHIRO– She is one of the popular characters in-game. With high Physical damage and debuff skills, she is an excellent DPS. Unfortunately, she requires a lot of copies for her to be effective. Like Claudia, you have to be at least star rank 3 or 4 and a decent amount of upgrades on your gears for you to use her well. At max Stars, she is one of the good characters to play with shield-breaking capabilities to augment her high damage output.

NEMESIS– the starting Banner for the Global Launch, Nemesis is a good Support Character. She does well with volt-type characters in a party because of her volt resonance that amplifies volt-type weapons. You have to rank up her star level for her to shine in-game.

At 6 stars, she grants final damage buffs with her healing makes her a valuable party character, especially when teamed up with SAMIR.

ECHO- she is the first SR Character that you get in-game. She has moderate damage and utility but compared to the other characters, you could do well with using them as your main. But at max stars and decent equipment upgrades, she could shine if you want her.

PEPPER-she is a great starting support Healer. But compared to COCO RITTER, she easily gets outclassed. So even at max stars and great equipment her skills although great, really isn’t a match for COCO, so if you’re planning to make her a main, it’s probably best to go for COCO instead.

BAILING is a good DPS starting character, with good physical damage output and debuffs, she can only shine early in the game. Even at max stars, she could easily be outclassed by other DPS characters so you could use her early in the game but quickly switch and invest in other DPS characters.

COBALT– she is an okay damage dealer and requires heavy investment for you to use properly. She is okay to use as a main with heavy damage and debuffs at max star level but getting there would require you to invest heavily on copies and equipment.

And last we have the C-TIER. We have one character on the list.

HILDA– compared to the other characters in the game, she is weaker and slower compared to the other choices. Even when upgrading to her highest potential, she seems to perform poorly compared to the other characters out there. So we highly recommend you avoid her altogether unless she gets a revamp in the later future.
