The Apex League is designed in a way that when you and your opponent have the same number of lives, the one who wins is the one with the higher HP. That only means that surviving is way more important than actually dealing lots of damage to your enemy.

For this, you want to use a healing weapon from the start of the game and do your best to kite your enemy by firing from afar. This will provide you with a slight advantage since you’re slowly chipping on your enemy’s HP while maintaining yours.

Check Your Enemy’s Weapon

Knowing what your enemy is using can help you choose a strategy that will allow you to take advantage of the situation. For example, if your enemy is using a melee weapon, your strategy would be to stay away from him and fire at him from a distance using a ranged weapon.

Take Advantage of the Shattering Mechanic

Basically, each time you shatter an enemy, he will be stunned for a brief period. This tiny window of opportunity will let you deal a good amount of damage. Needless to say, it can give you an advantage in the fight.
