Just like Genshin Impact, Tower of Fantasy lets you summon characters via a gacha system. However, ToF’s summoning system is actually a lot better than that of Genshin Impact. But how exactly does summoning work in the game? Let’s find out.
How Summons Work in Tower of Fantasy
In Tower of Fantasy, you summon weapons that are associated with a Simulacra, which is basically a character tied to that weapon. When you use a weapon, you will take on the appearance of its Simulacra as well as its stats. In a way, you’re not actually summoning a character, rather you’re just taking on the appearance of that character similar to that of a skin.
You can then upgrade these characters via the friendship/bond thing in order to make them even stronger. Moreover, you can gain access to passive abilities that are unique for each character.
These characters are available in SSR, SR, and R, with SSR being the rarest among the three. Also, you will have three different items that you can use for summoning. There’s the common Black Nucleus which you can find almost anywhere. You can even get it as a reward for completing daily challenges.
Then there’s the Gold Nucleus which is a bit rare compared to Black. You can only obtain it from completing daily challenges, though it’s not a frequent drop. With the Black Nucleus, you have a 0.3% of getting an SSR weapon. Meanwhile, the Gold Nucleus gives you a 0.75% chance of getting one.
The last one is the Red Nucleus which is quite rare. In fact, you won’t be able to get one from the 1.0 version yet, though it might come in the 2.0 update.
