Understanding a game is vital to play it well. And some mechanics might not be obvious when you have a complex game like Summoners War: Chronicles. Worry not! If you wish to play this free-to-play game, this guide is here to teach you all the tricks and tips you need to know to progress and have fun!

Complete F2P Guide – Summoners War Chronicles

There are a lot of activities in Summoners War: Chronicles, including daily tasks. It might feel a bit overwhelming at first, but you’ll soon notice that there’s a pattern you can obey to maximise your gameplay time.

Daily Challenges

Daily Challenges are easy and offer good rewards like Red Gems, so you don’t want to miss out on them.

Story Progress

Once you’re done with your daily challenges, progress as much as you can in the story. That’s because the more you advance, the more dungeons and rewards you’ll unlock.

Then, you can choose another hero, complete their stories as well, unlock even more rewards…

Cairos Dungeons

You’ll need a ton of Essence to evolve your characters, so the Cairos Dungeon must be at the forefront of your mind.

If you’re not looking to evolve any particular element, be sure to play the Hall of Magic since every one of your monsters is going to need Magic Essence, especially the ones with five stars.

Trial of Ascension

Strive to complete at least one floor of the Trial of Ascension every day since it gives you progressively better rewards.

Path of Growth

Path of Growth differs from other dungeons in the sense that each path you choose will focus on a different attribute.

If you want to level up your character, for example, you’ll wish to tackle the Path of Training and always do the bonus for the day. Your goal is to reach at least level 11 because once you reach this level, it drops bonus shards.

Now, if you need runes, brave the Path of Adventure. And if you’re seeking specific runes, wait for the bonus day.

Path of Subjugation not only helps your Summoner, but the bonus missions also reward you with Tokens of Subjugation, which you can farm to buy new weapons you’ll use later for crafting.

Party Dungeon

Make sure to participate in Raids and Rifts daily. Even when the rewards don’t seem to be worth it, do it because it rewards you with Breaths of Life—besides, it won’t take much of your time!

Arena

Upon entering the Arena, keep one thing in mind: you do not want to win! Sounds weird? But I’ll explain why.

Your goal in the Arena is to collect shop points. Instead of striving for victories, let your character keep a low defence and a low rank; that will allow you to do quick battles once you have enough combat power.

Now, with your shop points, you’ll want to purchase the Devilmon every week, an item required to level up your monsters.

Once you get the week’s Devilmon, you can save for the next or get the Legendary Scroll once a month for a chance at a five-star summon.

Alternatively, you can invest in Outfits, which will grant benefits to your monsters or your Summoner when equipped.

Guild

Make sure to do your contributions, request office, and your three daily requests. Hit up the Wheel of Fortune too for a free daily reward.

In the Guild Shop, save for the Light and Dark Scroll. Afterwards, get the outfits.

Runes

Level up the Runes in the 2, 4, and 6 slots which have a percentage symbol (%). In slots 1, 3, and 5, equip decent sub-stats instead of flat stats.

Free-To-Play Tips & Tricks

Check your Guard Journal often for Adventure Records, Area Dungeon, and Monster Story. Don’t let the Events slip off your radar either, especially if you’re in the middle of a 7-day event.

Be careful with the Shop as it will tempt you to buy stuff you might not need at the moment (or at all). You can get the Summoner Chronicles I but don’t worry about the others.

Also get both Bag Expansions since the book gives you tons of Crystals. And speaking of those, use them for refreshers, not for summons. And don’t forget your daily free gift!

One feature you’ll want to take advantage of is AFK Farming. This allows your characters to keep doing quests and getting rewards for you while you’re away from the game. And bring a healer so you won’t die and waste a night!
