Lead is one of the rare resources you can farm in Subnautica 2. You use it to craft various tools, such as the Sonic Resonator, which you use for destroying Bloom Infestations, and more.

As a rare resource, this means that you won’t be able to find Lead in the shallower parts of the ocean near your Lifepod. Instead, you have to go deeper to even have a chance of finding them.

In this guide, I’ll show you the best locations for farming Lead so you can get tons of this resource for your crafting needs. Let’s get started.

Once you arrive at the area, you’ll see this huge underwater cavern. Just dive down and you should be able to see a bunch of Lead ores sticking to the surface of the cavern.

In fact, they’re quite common in this area that you’ll be able to collect a bunch of them before you head back to the Lifepod.

As of now, Lead has been confirmed to be used as a crafting material for the Sonic Resonator. Aside from that, Lead is also a for crafting a germanium ingot.

There you have it. There could be more areas in the game for farming Lead as you progress through the game. Some players even mentioned the Cicada Wreck, which is 400 meters away from the Lifepod, as another solid spot.

Hopefully, this guide should help you gather as many Leads as you want for your crafting needs in the Fabricator.
