There are lots of interesting and even mysterious stuff going in around the areas of Stray. One of them is the mysterious safe which you can find in chapter 4 of the Slums. As with any safe, you will need to use a code in order to unlock it.

If you’re struggling to figure out how to open the safe, then go and check out the guide below.

How to Open the 1st Safe | Code Location in Stray

In order to open the first safe, you will need to find its four-digit code. You can come across this safe while exploring Chapter 4 of the game’s story which takes place in the Slums. It’s just a short distance past Morusque.

If you don’t want to waste time looking for the code to the safe, the direct answer is 1283. However, if you want to do a little bit of exploration, then follow the steps that I will tell you. First off, you want to pick up the “Safe’s Mysterious Password” note that’s attached to the safe.

Next, you’ll want to show it around the robots in the area. After a little while, they will tell you that they know nothing about it and only an expert will be able to decode the mystery. For this reason, you’ll want to head over to Elliot and show the note to him. You can find his place around the corner from the bar.

If it’s your first time visiting Elliot, then you have to scratch the door to get in. After showing it to Elliot, he’ll say that the code means “DUFER BAR”, prompting you to head over to that area. Go to the bar, and then look for the red neon sign with the words “DUFER BAR”. Interact with the picture hanging on top of it, and it will then reveal the four-digit code which is 1-2-83.

Go back to where the mysterious safe is and use the code to open it.

What’s Inside the Safe?

Just in case you’re wondering, the safe contains the eighth and final music sheet that’s part of the Meowlody trophy. You just need to take it to Morusque who will then proceed to play it.
