Your favorite cat in Stray is capable of doing a lot of things than just exploring the city in which the game takes place. In fact, there are various puzzles to solve throughout the game, and four of them involve opening doors and safes using codes.

If you haven’t unlocked all of those doors and safes yet, then this guide will tell you how.

All Safe and Door Codes You Should Know in Stray

Safes and doors often require codes that are made up of 4 digits. For the most part, you can find them on walls or even whiteboards throughout certain areas.

Upon opening them, you’ll be able to obtain some collectibles or even important items necessary to progress the story. Let’s have a look at what all those codes are and where you can use them.

Door Code 3748

You can find this code in Chapter 3: The Flat. Your drone will show you the way to the locked door, but it won’t show you any hints on how to open it. It’s not that hard to miss as the door resembles that of an elevator with a green sign at the top. Simply enter the code 3748 on the code lock to the left to open it.

Safe Code 1238

To use this code, you need to be in Chapter 4: The Slums. From where the guardian is, go to your left until you come across a gate. Turn left again and you should then be able to spot the safe on the ground. Simply enter the code 1238 to open it.

Door Code 2511

For the third code, you need to be in Chapter 6: The Slums Part 2. The locked door is inside Seamus’s house, and you can find the code lock behind a picture of a robot on the wall. You will need to scratch it in order for the picture to fall, revealing the code lock behind it.

Simply enter the code 2511 to open the door on the left which will then reveal a secret room.

Safe Code 8542

The last code will be in Chapter 10: Midtown. You can find the safe inside a shop where a robot is standing outside while talking to the shop owner. You need to jump through the window right in front of the owner and head over to the far right corner. Climb up to the shelves until you reach the top, and then turn left to find the safe. Enter the code 8542 to open it.
