However, that’s all easier said than done, as there are a couple of recipes that can be tricky. One needs to be unlocked through obtaining optional weapons, for example!
In this quick guide, I’ll tell you how to unlock all recipes and how to make them for this trophy.
How to Unlock All Recipes for Master Craftsman
Before starting, I recommend not trying for this trophy until you obtain an SMG. You can find the Gal SMG in East Raccoon City, alongside one of the batteries required for the story. It’s shown above.

For the sake of this trophy, you just need to get one of these SMGs. This will unlock the recipe for Machine Gun Ammo, which you’ll need. It’s not necessary to get both SMGs for this, however.
Speaking of unnecessary, you also do not need to do any of Grace’s Blood Collector crafting. As far as Master Craftsman is concerned, you only need to craft all of Leon’s recipes!
How to Craft All Recipes – Leon’s Crafting List
Anyway, you will have all 9 of Leon’s recipes unlocked as soon as you obtain any SMG. You can now start making them from the Crafting tab of the Pause Menu whenever you’re playing as him. These are all recipes you need to make:
- Mixed Herb (G + G) – Green Herb + Green Herb
- Mixed Herb (G + G + G) – Green Herb + Green Herb + Green Herb
- Mixed Herb (G + G + G) – Mixed Herb (G + G) + Green Herb
- Handgun Ammo – 1 Scrap + 1 Gunpowder (Small)
- Shotgun Shells – 1 Scrap + 1 Gunpowder (Large)
- Rifle Ammo – 2 Scrap + 1 Gunpowder (Large)
- Machine Gun Ammo – 2 Scrap + 1 Gunpowder (Small)
- Hand Grenade – 1 Scrap + 2 Gunpowder (Large)
- Stacked Hand Grenade – Hand Grenade + Hand Grenade
It’s worth noting that which recipes you’ve crafted isn’t actually tied to your save. That means that you can make a manual save, craft something, reload the save, and then craft something else.
This allows you to save on resources while crafting all recipes. How useful this is depends on your needs, but I figured I’d let you know about it just in case!
Also, make sure that you craft both variants of the Mixed Herb (G + G + G). They count as separate recipes, so you need to do both.
