Collecting all three Quartz is the main objective driving Grace’s opening chapter in Resident Evil Requiem, and while the Moon Quartz is relatively easy to get, the Sun and Star Quartz each come with their own set of steps that can slow you down significantly if you do not know what to expect. The Care Center is not a small place, and the game spreads these items across the West Wing, East Wing, and beyond.

In this guide, I will show you where to find all three Quartz and walk you through what you need to do to get each one so you can slot them into the door in the Central Hall and keep the story moving.

How to Get the Moon, Sun and the Star Quartz

So the first thing you need to do is quickly grab the West Wing Keycard from the Medication Room which you can reach through the Guard Office. The Guard Office is accessible from the Central Hall. Once you enter the Medication Room, a cutscene will play and you will automatically get the West Wing Keycard after it ends.

Here’s a video which shows how to get the West Wing Keycard from the Medication Room.

With the West Wing Keycard in hand, you can now access the West Wing Administration Offices. Swipe the keycard and keep moving forward. Make your way to the second floor and you will find the Chairman’s Office there. Inside the Chairman’s Office, open the Unicorn Trinket Box to get the Red Jewel. The video below shows the complete route to the Chairman’s Office.

Getting the Moon Quartz

In the Chairman’s Office, you will also find a puzzle box. To solve this puzzle, you need to input the following code in the exact order:

  • Moon —> Sun —> Star —> Moon

Once you do, the box will open and you can collect the Moon Quartz.

This video shows how to solve the Chairman’s Room Puzzle Box to get the Moon Quartz.

Acquiring a Couple of Necessary Items

After getting the Moon Quartz, make your way down to the first floor and head to the Parlor which I have marked below. To open up the Parlor door, you need to use the Red Jewel you got earlier.

Location of the Parlor marked on the map.

At the end of the Parlor, you will find a severed hand underneath a table holding the East Wing Keycard. Grab it and then make your way to the East Wing Hospital Wards.

Here’s a video which shows how to reach the Parlor from the Central Wing and get the East Wing Keycard.

Use the East Wind Keycard to enter and then move to the location that I have marked on the map below.

Location of the ID Wristband marked on the map.

Here you will be able to get the ID Wristband (Level 1) from a dead scientist. Refer to the video below if you have trouble finding it.

This video shows how to get the Level 1 ID Wristband which is found in the East Wing.

After getting the ID Wristband, make your way to the Conference Room and grab the Corrosive bottle.

Here’s a video which shows how to get the Corrosive acid from the Conference Room.

Getting the Sun Quartz

Now that you have the Corrosive bottle, head to the Lead Researcher’s Office which I have marked in the image below.

Location of the final puzzle box marked on the map.

There you will find another puzzle box with a padlock. Use the Corrosive acid you got earlier to melt the padlock. Once you have done that, input the following pattern to unlock the box and get the Sun Quartz along with the Leatherbound Notebook:

  • Star —> Sun —> Moon —> Sun
This video shows the solution of the puzzle box found inside the Lead Researcher’s Office which gives you the Sun Quartz.

How to get the Star Quartz

The Star Quartz is actually an unmissable item. You will automatically get it after completing the Care Center’s basement section and reuniting with Emily. Your main objective in the basement will be finding three Joint Plugs while avoiding an invincible boss.

The basement is like a maze and it is pretty easy to get lost. But luckily for you, I already have a comprehensive guide written for it. You can check it out here: How to get all three Joint Plugs.

Summing Up!

That covers how to get the Moon Quartz and the Sun Quartz, both of which require a fair amount of running back and forth across the Care Center before you can actually get your hands on them. The Star Quartz is a different story, it is tied directly to the basement section.

Use the Joint Plug guide linked above to get through the basement to get the Star Quartz after saving Emily and then bring all three back to the Central Hall door to finally move the story forward!
