Anubis is one of the more popular Pals you can get in Palworld, partly thanks to it bearing a resemblance to a certain fan-favorite creature whose name starts with “L” and ends with “ucario.”

This Egyptian hound doesn’t just look cool, though, it’s also an imposing foe and a mighty ally!

In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find Anubis and how to catch it.

How to Get the Anubis Pal

Palworld: How to Get the Anubis

First off, a word of warning: Anubis is a Level 47 Pal. Make sure that you are thoroughly prepared for a tough fight, get as many Capture Chance upgrades as possible, and bring your best Pal Spheres!

You should ideally have Legendary Spheres, which you can only craft once you reach Level 44 and learn their respective Technology.

So, get your best weapons, get your Pals, and get your best Spheres ready. Once you’re all geared up, head to the desert on the midwestern part of the map.

Anubis location on the map

It’s far to the northwest of the starting area of the game, so it’s going to be quite a trek to get there. But, it’s quite fitting of the Anubis’ high level!

When fighting the Anubis, make sure to be careful of its big Area of Effect attacks. If you see it jump, try to move away immediately!

Fighting Anubis

Also watch out for the sandstorms around the area, as they can catch you by surprise and ruin your attempt.

Other than that, though, you just have to focus on dealing damage to the Anubis until its Health is rather low. Try to get it as low as possible, but make sure to avoid killing it.

Anubis and another Pal have a staring contest

It’s a good idea to recall your active Pal when Anubis gets low on health. It helps prevent accidental kills.

Anyway, get its Health low enough and then start throwing your Pal Spheres at it.

Do keep in mind that your chances will lower drastically after repeated failed attempts. After enough failed attempts, Anubis will just instantly break out of the Sphere.

Attempting to capture Anubis

If you fail to capture it, you can just kill it and come back once enough time passes. The exact timing is unknown, but Anubis does respawn!

Just keep trying and you’ll get it eventually.
