All these from different game developers across several platforms including mobile, each entry brought something to the table that countless others have taken and improved upon through the years.

The latest installment for Pc Manor Lords takes to heart all the best things this type of genre has to offer and improved on it.

It’s no wonder when the demo version came out earlier this month, Manor Lords has been making waves and is positioned to be one of the anticipated games to be released on Steam.

While waiting for the Full Version of the game to be available, We at GamesFuze have created a guide on everything you need to know on creating and Managing your Realm in Manor Lords.

Beginners Guide on how to Build, Survive, Trade, Upgrade Homes and manage Taxes in Manor Lords.

This guide is based on the Demo Version for Manor Lords that is available to play right now. This has been voted the top game on the Wish List on steam and so far, there has not been an official announcement when the game will be available in full version.

Once the game gets released, there might be a few adjustments to the game but from what we are seeing in the Demo, the core game mechanics would stay the same.

Beginners Guide| How to Build, Survive, Trade, Upgrade Homes and Taxes Guide in Manor Lords

Building in Manor Lords is similar to other city-building games. You assign a worker, in this case, Peasants to a plot of land which lets them build the building you select them to construct.

They require resources which are primarily wood and when the building is done, they provide your village with additional jobs or materials for you to advance your village.

For instance, if you build a church, it will provide villagers with religion which will be needed to upgrade your houses to a higher level. Hunting lodges provide your villagers with the option to hunt for food and Constructing houses gives you another peasant for you to assign a task or work to.

Upgrading your houses will be one of your focuses for you to progress your game. These upgrades are locked behind a set of requirements for the upgrade option to be available. At further levels, you might need extra materials for building, access to religious facilities and even a variety of food resources to choose from. These requirements can be reviewed once you select the building and look at the upgrade tab.

How to Survive

To survive in Manor Lords, you will need food, water and resources. The type of foodstuff and resources you have varies from region and playthrough.

The common food resource when you start your game will be berries which can be gathered by your villagers once you assign them a task of gathering berries.

Take care of your food consumption if you are locked in ares with only berries as your food source. They can only be gathered at certain seasons and won’t be available when winter sets.

Another food source is hunting. Hunting can be done all year round but they take some time to finish so you should gather as much as you can and upgrade your houses until you unlock farming which is another foodstuff source in Manor Lords.

House Extensions

Another thing to build in Manor Lords is house extensions. These plots provide villagers with an alternate source of food and the type of food they can get, depends on the type of extensions you place in their backyard.

Vegetable farms give you vegetables, chicken coops or goat sheds give you meat or eggs that will be important for houses to reach level 2 as well as provide villagers with an assortment of foodstuff that they need to level up.

How to Trade

Trading is done by talking to the merchant. Here, you can import raw materials and craft them at your workshop and export them to other areas for gold. For example, if you have access to Ore, you can get a workshop to Craft tools that you can either send or use.

Check your area resources to have a better understanding of what resources you have available and use these materials for crafting much more expensive items.

How to Collect Tax

When you progress further in the Demo, you will have the option to build the Tax Collector office. Doing this will allow you to collect taxes from your villagers which will be remitted to the king. Since it’s just a demo version, most buildings are not fully functional but are introduced in their basic forms.

That’s all we have for you in Manor Lords. Take note this is still the Demo version of the game. When it’s finally released, expect more content and a much more fleshed-out world.
