Hydroneer is a video game where you can mine and build bases. It has recently released its most significant patch up to date. The new 2.0 update adds a lot of new features and fixes to improve the game’s performance. To make money and improve your mining business, dig for gold and other minerals. Most importantly, dig deep.
Tier Dirt Explained in Hydroneer 2.0
Tools and Machines in the new Hydroneer 2.0 update can now dig to a specific depth depending on their tier, allowing players to dig deeper. Players are excited to try out the new feature.
Still, there remains a caveat they need to prioritize: matching their tool levels to the dirt. This means you need to have a tier 2 tool or machine to access level 2 dirt. The same will go for tier 1. This article will discuss how the tier system works and how deep you can dig depending on your tool’s tier.
Tier System
Aside from their appearance, a Tier 1 and a Tier 2 tool or machine differ in the level of depth they can dig. Tier 1 ToolsandMachines can only dig on Tier 1 dirt(floor 0 to floor 8).
On the other hand, Tier 2 Tools and Machines can dig both Tier 1 and Tier 2 dirt (floor 0 to floor 14). The higher tier you have, the better your chances of progressing in the game.
Although the new update also brings Tier 3 dirt, the area can only be accessed through explosives. Because of the new Tier System update, players are forced to focus on upgrading their tools and machines first before building, which adds a new challenge to the game.
