If you want to go through Resident Evil Requiem with as little difficulty as possible, you’ll want to unlock the infinite ammo RPG-7 rocket launcher.

You can unlock this after the first playthrough, and it gives Leon access to a ridiculously OP weapon capable of oneshotting bosses. If you’re aiming for the 100%, this is quite handy to have on Insanity difficulty!

Read on and I’ll tell you everything you need to do to get this busted weapon.

How to Unlock and Get the Rocket Launcher and Infinite Ammo Upgrade

To be able to unlock the infinite ammo for the Rocket Launcher, you’ll first need to beat the game at least once. As we’ve covered in our unlockables guide, this will unlock the Special Content Shop underBonuses in the main menu.

In this shop, you can spend Completion Points (CP) you’ve accrued through playing the game. You get these points for completing Challenges, which you can check while in the Bonuses section.

These Challenges cover pretty much everything, from killing a certain number of enemies to finding secrets in your playthrough, or even beating the game under special limitations.

Now, for the Rocket Launcher itself, you’ll need to purchase two different items in this special content shop:

  • RPG-7 (Leon) – 15000 CP
  • Infinite Ammo (RPG-7) – 35000 CP

So, it’s as simple as purchasing both of these unlocks and you’re all done! You’ll then be able to purchase the infinite RPG-7 from any Supply Boxes for 8000 Credits. It’s pretty cheap, considering how ridiculously OP it is!

After purchasing the Infinite Ammo unlock, you can enable or disable it within the game’s Options. Having it enabled has no impact on Achievements, Trophies, or most Challenges.

How to Get More Completion Points

If you’re short on CP, I recommend focusing on Challenges that have big payouts. Here are some standouts:

  • Never Touch the Stuff – 35000 CP. Beat the campaign without using herbs or med injectors.
  • Minimalist – 35000 CP. Beat the campaign without using the Blood Collector as Grace.
  • Speed Demon – 20000 CP. Beat the campaign with the canon ending (release) within 4 hours.

If you want, you can actually do all 3 of these Challenges at the same time. None of them require a specific difficulty, so you can just speedrun the game in Casual difficulty.

You can even use some of the useful unlocks on this playthrough to make things easier, such as the unbreakable Kotetsu knife for Grace. Plus, you already know the game’s progression and puzzles from your first playthrough!

Do note you should Make sure to skip all cutscenes too, as the timer doesn’t pause during them. You can check your current time by pausing the game and checking the Speed Demon Challenge under Challenges.

With those challenges, you should get enough CP to unlock the Rocket Launcher and its Infinite Ammo in Resident Evil Requiem! Buy it and you’ll be able to breeze through the game with this overpowered weapon! At least during Leon’s sections, of course.
