Divine Orbs are the backbone of the Path of Exile 2 economy. They reroll the numerical values on item modifiers and serve as the standard unit of value that players use to measure how good a farming strategy actually is. In the Return of the Ancients patch, GGG made Divine Orbs more common, which is good news for players who felt like they were never seeing enough of them.
The most reliable ways to farm them in patch 0.5 revolve around high-density content. Clearing highly populated areas, running Ritual content, and investing in the right Atlas nodes all improve your Divine Orb income. In this guide, I will cover the best methods to consistently farm Divines in Return of the Ancients so you are never sitting on an empty inventory when you need them most.
Best Ways to Farm Divines
Rituals are the best and most rewarding content for farming Divines right now in Return of the Ancients. If you are starting fresh in the new league this is where you want to focus your attention first.
The reason Rituals are so strong for Divine farming is what they reward. They consistently drop Omens and Unique Items. Omens are particularly valuable because they can be sold to other players for a solid amount of Divines depending on which ones you are getting. Unique Items follow the same logic.
The right drop from a Ritual can be worth several Divines on the trade market immediately. Starting your league progression around Rituals gives you a strong economic foundation before you branch out into other farming strategies.
Starting Out With Ritual Content
From your starting point on the Atlas, you will have fairly quick access to the Fortress. Once you get inside, head to the far left where you will find a Precursor Tower that provides an exit out of the Fortress. Clear a few maps from there and you will be able to reach Caer Tarth.
This is where the Ritual content begins. Work through the maps in this area and keep pushing forward. Eventually you will reach the boss arena called the Crux of Nothingness.

Making Ritual Content More Rewarding
To get the most out of Ritual content and maximize your Divine income from it you need to invest points into the Ritual section of the Atlas Passive Skill Tree. These passives directly improve the rewards you get from running Rituals making each one significantly more profitable than it would be without them.
You earn Atlas Passive points for it by clearing maps around Caer Tarth so the more you push through that area the more points you will have available to spend. I have put together an image below showing the best order to unlock those passives so you are not spending points in the wrong places early on and missing out on the most impactful upgrades first.

Tablets
You also want to target picking up Ritual Tablets. The most powerful strategy is finding areas where multiple Lost Towers overlap on your Atlas. Socketing a Ritual Tablet into each of these Towers will guarantee the encounter on every map in that overlapped region. This significantly improves your farming efficiency by ensuring you’re always running Rituals.
The number of monsters that spawn in your map directly affects how much Tribute you accumulate. More monsters means more Tribute, which gives you more purchasing power when spending at the Ritual altar.
With that in mind, map modifiers that increase the percentage of Magic monsters, Rare monsters, and Pack Size all indirectly boost your available Tribute even though they do not mention Ritual specifically. Rolling your Waystones with these modifiers before running Ritual maps is worth the extra effort and makes a noticeable difference to how much you walk away with after each encounter.
On top of that, there are special modifiers worth hunting for specifically. Some of them reduce the cost to reroll your favors at the Ritual altar, which lets you cycle through the rewards more efficiently until you find the high-value items you are after.
Others increase the quantity of Tribute that monsters drop in the map directly. Both types are worth prioritizing when you are crafting your Ritual Tablets and looking for the right combination of modifiers.

Additional Revival
To the south-east of your starting point on the Atlas, there is a corrupted area you can cleanse to unlock Doryani’s Science. It is worth going out of your way to do this early on, as the benefit it provides is significant for your overall farming efficiency.
Unlocking Doryani’s Science gives you an additional revival modifier on your maps. This means if you die during a map run, you get another chance rather than losing the map entirely. For harder rolled maps with dangerous modifiers, this extra revival can be the difference between completing the map and losing all the investment you put into it.
The other benefit is that the revival modifier counts as one of your six map modifiers. So effectively you are already starting with one slot filled which makes maxing out six modifiers easier to reach earlier in the league.

Fracturing Orbs
On the Atlas Passive Skill Tree there is a node called “Hidden Scars” which I have marked in the image below. It is worth picking this up as part of your Atlas progression as it adds another solid source of Divines to your farming loop.

What Hidden Scars does is allow Cleansed Monsters to drop Fracturing Orbs. Fracturing Orbs are a high value currency that consistently sells for around 2 to 3 Divines each on the trade market.
Since you will already be cleansing corruption as part of your Atlas progression anyway, this node effectively turns something you are already doing into passive Divine income on top of everything else. It is a low effort, high reward pickup that is well worth the passive points.
That’s It
Rituals are in a strong spot right now and the setup covered in this guide is what the top earners in the league are running. Get it dialed in early and you will have a steady flow of Divines coming in well before most players are even thinking about their farming strategy.
