Unlocking every Atlas passive point in Path of Exile 2 (Patch 0.5) sounds like a massive grind at first. There are 311 Atlas passive points in total, and if you try to clear every map manually, it can take a painfully long time.
The good news is that there is a much faster way to unlock huge chunks of the Atlas tree. The method revolves around repeatedly fighting the Arbiter of Divinity, which can instantly clear sections of the Atlas and reward a large amount of passive points at once.
If your character is strong enough, this can speed up your Atlas completion massively. Instead of slowly clearing every map one by one, you can use Arbiter kills to unlock around 30 to 50 Atlas passive points per cycle.
If you are still working through the general route first, you may also want to check our PoE 2 Atlas Progression Guide After Patch 0.5, since that covers the full early path through the Atlas before you start farming these repeat Arbiter unlocks.
How Atlas Passive Point Unlocking Works in PoE 2 Patch 0.5

The main thing to understand is that the Atlas is not only completed by clearing individual maps. After defeating certain major bosses, parts of the Atlas can be automatically cleared, giving you a large amount of passive points at once.
This is why Arbiter of Divinity is so important. After you defeat him, maps in the center fortress area can automatically clear, rewarding you with a big batch of Atlas passive points.
That first Arbiter kill is part of the normal Atlas progression, but the trick is that you can keep repeating this process outside the fortress. Once you know what to look for, you can keep finding the required encounters, fight Arbiter again, and unlock more Atlas points much faster.
Basically, the Atlas wants you to grind, but this method at least lets you grind smarter instead of full-clearing everything like a lost exile with too much free time.
How to Unlock Arbiter of Divinity in PoE 2

Before you can use this method, you first need to reach and fight the Arbiter of Divinity.
To do that, progress through the Atlas until you reach the Origin Tower. From there, you need to clear the Patriarch Hall and the Matriarch Hall. These encounters give you the required items to access the Arbiter fight.

After clearing both halls, you can place the required items into the reactor at the Origin Tower and fight the Arbiter of Divinity.
Once you defeat him for the first time, you should notice maps in the center fortress getting automatically cleared. This is the first big passive point payout and the main reason this strategy works.
If the center maps did not clear for you, make sure you defeated Arbiter of Divinity, not a different Arbiter fight. This method specifically works through Arbiter of Divinity.
Do You Get Unlimited Attempts on Arbiter of Divinity?
Yes, the Arbiter of Divinity fight should still give you unlimited attempts, even on repeat fights. That means dying does not immediately waste the summon items, so you can keep trying until you beat him.
That said, you still want your character to be strong enough before farming this method seriously. The faster and cleaner you can kill Arbiter, the faster you can unlock more Atlas points.
If your build is still weak, it may be better to farm upgrades first instead of repeatedly throwing yourself at the boss and calling it “progress.”
How to Farm More Arbiter of Divinity Fights

After the first Arbiter of Divinity kill, do not stop there. The same setup can appear again outside the fortress.
While exploring the outer Atlas, look for orange beams in the darkness. These beams can indicate more Patriarch Hall and Matriarch Hall encounters. Once you find them, clear both halls again to get the required items.
The items you are looking for are the Origin Cradle and Origin Spark. Once you have them, return to the Origin reactor, place the items in again, and you can fight Arbiter of Divinity another time.

Do not sell these boss drops by accident. You need the Origin Cradle and Origin Spark to access the fight again. If you sell one of them, you will need to go back out and find another hall encounter to replace it, which is exactly the kind of mistake that makes you stare at your stash in silence.
Each repeat Arbiter kill can instantly unlock another large chunk of the Atlas tree, usually around 30 to 50 Atlas passive points depending on the section.
This is the main shortcut. You are not manually completing every map. You are finding the hall encounters, collecting the Arbiter access items, fighting him again, and letting the game clear large Atlas sections for you.
What If You Cannot Find the Orange Beams?

If you cannot find the orange beams right away, do not panic. The Patriarch Hall and Matriarch Hall encounters are found outside the fortress, so you may need to keep exploring the outer Atlas before they appear.
The orange beams are the main visual clue that those halls are nearby. If you are not seeing them, keep pushing outward and revealing more of the Atlas.
This is also where players can get confused after their first Arbiter kill because the original fragment maps may already be green or completed. That is normal. You are not trying to reuse the same exact completed halls. You are looking for new Patriarch and Matriarch Hall encounters outside the fortress so you can get the items again.
Use Grand Project Tablets to Reach Halls Faster

One useful trick is to use a Grand Project Tablet to help approach the Patriarch and Matriarch Halls more efficiently.
Since you need to find these hall encounters outside the fortress, anything that helps you reach or reveal useful areas faster can save time. The goal is to move toward the orange beams as efficiently as possible, clear the halls, then repeat the Arbiter cycle.
However, Grand Project Tablets can get expensive very quickly. When this method first started getting shared, they were much cheaper, around the 20 Exalted Orb range. Depending on the market, they can jump to around 4 to 5 Divines or even more.
Because of that, I would not blindly buy tablets unless the price makes sense for your current budget. The method still works, but the cost changes a lot when more players start rushing their Atlas.
If Grand Project Tablets are too expensive, you can still search for the halls manually. It will just take longer, since the tablet mainly helps you approach those locations faster.

Fastest Way to Unlock All 311 Atlas Passive Points

The fastest method is simple: fight Arbiter of Divinity repeatedly.
Start with the normal Atlas progression until you defeat Arbiter for the first time at the Origin Tower. After that, explore outside the fortress and look for the orange beams that mark more Patriarch Hall and Matriarch Hall encounters.
Clear both halls, collect the Origin Cradle and Origin Spark, place them into the reactor, then fight Arbiter again. Each kill can unlock a large amount of Atlas passive points, so repeating this process is much faster than clearing every map manually.
If your character is strong enough, you can complete the full Atlas much faster this way. The method still takes some grinding, but it is one of the best ways to unlock all 311 Atlas tree points without wasting time on unnecessary map clears.
When Should You Do League Mechanics?
Even though this guide focuses on unlocking Atlas points fast, you should still think about league mechanics after your main Atlas progression is moving.
The smart approach is to focus on the main Atlas first, then work on the league mechanics you actually want to farm. You do not need to complete every mechanic right away. If you want Abyss, do Abyss. If you do not care about Ritual, skip it.
Some Patch 0.5 progression systems are also tied to specific mechanics now. For example, if you are trying to upgrade your amulet, our Path of Exile 2: How to Anoint Amulets After Patch 0.5 guide explains why Delirium progression is now required for anointing.
