The new Return of the Ancients update for Path of Exile 2 has introduced a bunch of new items and mechanics that make crafting a lot more fun.
While crafting has been nerfed in general in that you can only have 1 crafted modifier on an item, the newly introduced items have made it more versatile in return.
For example, you can now roll certain modifiers on a given Rare item by using certain resources. In this guide, however, we’re going to focus on crafting a Rare gloves with a +2 to Level of All Projectile Skills modifier on it.
Let’s find out how.
How to Craft a +2 Projectile Skill Gloves in Path of Exile 2 0.5
The new crafting resources come in the form of new Augments that you can socket on a given item. Depending on which Rune you socket, the socketed item will then roll a bunch of new modifiers.
For example, there’s Vorana’s Carnage which you can socket on a helmet so it can roll berserking modifiers. These modifiers are tied to Rage, warcries, Rage cost efficiency, etc.
For the purposes of this guide, however, we’re going to use an Augment item called Kolr’s Hunt. As you might have guessed, this goes into the socket of a non-unique gloves. As a result, those gloves will then possibly roll Marksman modifiers.
In case you’re wondering, Marksman modifiers include modifiers like increased projectile damage, chance to fire additional projectiles, chance to pierce an enemy, and of course, an additional level to projectile skills.
With that out of the way, let’s talk about how you can craft a +2 Projectile Skill gloves.
Look for a Good Base Item

First and foremost, you need a good base item depending on your build. I personally find the Exceptional War Wraps to be the best choice as it comes with 2 sockets and a good Evasion Rating and Energy Shield.
There are some good bases out there, but just make sure it’s at least Item Level 82. It has to be Normal Rarity and uncorrupted as well.
Depending on the market, it could cost you a few Divine Orbs at the very least.
Buy Kolr’s Hunt via Currency Exchange
Once you have a good base, the next step is to get yourself a Kolr’s Hunt.
If you’re playing Solo Self-Found, you’ll have to farm it by doing Tier 15 Expedition content to have a chance of getting one. But if you’re playing on trade, you can just buy it from the Currency Exchange.
As of right now, it goes for a few hundred Exalted Orbs or a couple of Divine Orbs.

You then want to place Kolr’s Hunt on one of the sockets of your gloves. This should give it an enchantment that says “Can Roll Marksman Modifiers”.
Now, crafting can begin.
Add Modifiers to the Gloves
The first thing you want to do after socketing Kolr’s Hunt is to use a Perfect Orb of Transmutation to transform the gloves to Magic rarity. This should give it a random modifier, and if you’re lucky, it might just be the +2 projectile skills mod.
Next, use a Perfect Orb of Augmentation to add another mod to the gloves.

In our case, it resulted in two Tier 1 Marksman modifiers, which isn’t really that bad, especially the added projectile damage modifier.
If you’re not happy with one or both of the modifiers, you can use an Orb of Annulment to remove them. If you remove one or two modifiers, simply use Perfect Orb of Transmutations to add two random mods.
Afterward, transform the item to Rare by using a Regal Orb. Ideally, you want to use a Greater Regal Orb or the Perfect variant.
Look for the +2 Projectile Skill Modifier
If the +2 Projectile Skill modifier hasn’t appeared on the gloves yet, you want to use a Chaos Orb to roll one of its modifiers.

This can take a while and can be costly depending on RNG. Once you finally manage to get it, you can then add a Desecrated modifier to your gloves.
However, before you reveal the Desecrated mod, use Exalted Orbs to add modifiers to your gloves until it has a total of 6.
Reveal the Desecrated Modifier

You can then head to the Well of Souls to reveal the Desecrated modifier. But before you do so, make sure you have an Omen of Abyssal Echoes in your inventory and activate it.
This will allow you to reroll the options when revealing a Desecrated modifier once. If you’re not satisfied with the first mods, you can click the Reroll option to get a new set.

It will then be RNG at this point. Once you’re done, simply choose from one of the three Desecrated modifier options to apply to your gloves.
The final step is to corrupt the item for a chance of getting a third socket. Make sure you upgrade the gloves to +20 Quality first by using Armourer’s Scrap.
Also, if you’re happy with the modifiers, you can use Divine Orbs to reroll their values to try and get higher values as possible. Once you’re done, use a Vaal Orb to corrupt the item.

If you’re lucky, you might get a third socket as shown in the image above. However, there’s also a chance that nothing changes and the item gets corrupted, or it gets bricked and the modifiers are replaced by something else entirely.
Final Thoughts
That pretty much sums up how you can craft a +2 Projectile Skill gloves in the latest patch of Path of Exile 2. As you can see, there’s still a lot of RNG involved, especially with regard to getting the +2 Projectile Skill modifier.
But then again, the new Augment items added to the patch made crafting a lot more fun and varied in the game. This provides players with more options on how to get their own gear.
