With the release of Overwatch 2 a few days ago on all platforms, players just can’t wait to try the game out. However, with how different the download process is on consoles, especially PS5, you might be wondering how you can download the game on your console.

How to Download Overwatch 2 on PS5

There are two different methods for downloading Overwatch 2 on your PS5 console. The first one is to download it directly from the PlayStation Store. To do so, simply head over to your main menu, and select the bag icon to open the PlayStation Store.

Inside, you’ll want to select to Search icon and type “Overwatch 2” or simply Overwatch. You will then see it on the very first of the search results. Then, simply select Overwatch and press the Play Game button. This will then start the download process.

Since the game is already out a few days ago, you no longer have to predownload the game. That only applies to the days leading up to the release of Overwatch 2. After the game finishes downloading, you can then start playing.

Overwatch 2 is free to play as opposed to its prequel which you need to buy in order to start playing. Also, if you have Overwatch 1, then you simply have to update it to Overwatch 2.
