The Sunken Sea update has introduced a lot of new and exciting stuff to Core Keeper. One of them is the Lit Floor, an all-new floor type that has the ability to automatically light itself up when placed. Another amazing thing about this floor is that you can paint it, thus allowing for more customization.
If you don’t know how to get this floor and start lite-briting your base, this guide is for you.
How to Lite-Brite Your Base in Core Keeper
In order to lite-brite your base, you’ll need tons of Lit Floors. The problem with this floor type is that it’s quite expensive to craft. This means you’ll need tons of resources to do so, and it could even take you a lot of time.
The materials you need to craft this floor are Limestone Wall and Octarine Bar. While Limestone Wall isn’t that hard to come by, it’s the Octarine Bar that’s the problem. To craft it, you’ll need Octarine Ore which can drop from certain enemies like the Bubble Crab and Tentacle.
The problem is that the drop rate is somewhat low, averaging at around 10-15%.
Once you have an Octarine Ore, you’ll then need to smelt it in the Smelter Kiln to turn it into Octarine Bar. After you have enough Limestone Walls and Octarine Bars, you can then craft lots of Lit Floors via the Octarine Workbench.
