How To Find And Tame Maewings | Location Guide- Ark Fjordur
Maewings are giant, fast squirrel/platypus-like creatures. They are genderless but breed-able creatures which makes them extraordinarily unique. So if you are looking for how to tame these creatures, you are in the right place.
Finding Maewings – Redwood
You’ll find the Maewings at Redwood at the Top right corner of the Fjordur Map. You’ll mainly encounter them at the entrance of Redwood, especially in the Southern part of the map.
You will find them roaming around near the small lake on coordinates 20.2, 88.8. If you don’t see one, you can find a small lake at the exact location. Try diving into the lake; a few swimming around might be inside the water.

How To Tame The Maewing
Net Them
Taming the Maewing is relatively easy. The best way to tame them is by netting them and then building a trap around them. After which, you can then knock them out. Their saddle is pretty simple to craft and unlocked early.
Be Careful
Remember, however, that this creature is based on a flying squirrel and a platypus, so you must be careful when trying to tame one as it can easily evade you.
Watch out for these quick creatures because the moment you shoot them or attack them, they will fly off, and with the many big trees in Redwood, it’s easy to lose sight of one.
