The first major update after the post-early access launch of Core Keeper has finally arrived! In the new update, you can now visit the Sunken Sea, an entirely new aquatic biome packed with watery-themed items and more.
There are lots to explore in the new biome patch, similar to the Azeos Wilds expansion. One of the new mini-bosses is Morpha, the Aquatic Mass.
Morpha the Aquatic Mass Guide in Core Keeper

Morpha the Aquatic Mass is a Sunken Sea biome side boss. You can locate it with 10 Ancient Gemstones, 10 Mechanical Parts, and 90 Slippery Slime, just like Omoroth.
The Slippery Slime may be obtained from the new blue slime monster located across the biome, particularly in the new Forlorn Metropolis mini biome beside the Sunken Sea.
Defeating Morpha

Morpha the Aquatic Mass is a side boss that can be found in The Sunken Sea biome. You’ll need to kill other bosses in the outer ring to open this region. Unlocking Morpha will require the following steps:
- Defeat Glurch the Abominable Mass
- Defeat Ghorm the Devourer
- Defeat the Hive Mother
- Place each boss’ gem into their statues to reactivate the Core
- Unlock the wall by talking to the Core
It is highly recommended to fight at range if you wish to win the Morpha boss fight. You should also prepare the arena beforehand.
It’s a good idea to have healing potions with you. Aside from that, pack your strongest Octarine weaponry; the sooner you defeat this boss, the better.
Any equipment that increases your speed will increase your survival because you can avoid Morpha’s jumping assaults more easily.
Once defeated, the following loot can be obtained:
- Morpha’s Chest
- Morpha’s Bubble Bag
- Ancient Gemstone
- Slippery Slime
