ARK Fjordur: Best Cave Drop and Loot Locations

Red and yellow loot crates can be hard to come by in ARK. However, the newest Fjordur map has excellent locations where you can find a handful of such crates.

Loot crates are crucial for your progression in ARK. They’re one of the sources of rare and powerful loots that you can have in the game. Depending on the color of the loot crate, the rarity of the gear inside them can vary as well.

If you’re lucky, you might end up looting some high quality Ascendant gear or their blueprints. However, the chances can be pretty low. One way to increase it is by looting red and yellow crates. If you played ARK before, you already know how valuable they are. The problem is that they’re not that easy to find.

In the latest Fjordur map, however, there are several locations where these loot crates spawn on a regular basis. Let’s have a look at where those locations are.

Best Cave Drop and Loot Locations in ARK Fjordur

The location I’m going to show you is a cave. But before you head over there, you need to equip the right gear first. For this, you want to equip the Desert Cloth set to provide you with as much hyperthermal insulation as possible.

This is because the cave has a pretty hot temperature, so you want to avoid getting a heat stroke as much as possible.

The next important thing to consider is a flyer. Ideally, you’d want to go for a Desmodus since some crates spawn on platforms above the ground. Once you’re ready, you’ll want to head over to coordinates 21.5, 57.6. You’ll find the entrance to the cave, and all you need to do is delve deep into the cave.

What You Can Find Inside the Cave

Shortly after delving deep into the cave, you’ll see that most of the terrain is lava. This is why a flyer is necessary to navigate the cave. You can also make do with a grappling hook, but a flyer is just way easier. As you exit the lava floor and enter the next area, you’ll immediately notice a loot crate on the right side.

You can also find another loot crate at the bottom just near the lava down below. Further down the cave is where you can find the Artifact of the Pack. You can also find a handful of loot crates in this room. You can also find the Artifact of the Clever in the other room.

Once you’ve looted all crates, simply exit the cave and return to your base. You can go back to the cave after around 45 minutes as the crates will have respawned by then.
