In Palworld 1.0, you can level up from level 1 all the way to the current cap of level 80, which is something that isn’t too fast normally.
That said, there are various things you can look out for to help speed things up. For example, did you notice that you get a massive EXP bonus for capturing Pals? Or that a Pal can boost EXP gain by a whopping +80%?
In this guide, I’ll tell you about all of these things and more to speed up leveling!
Aim for the Pal Capture Bonus

The first thing you can do to speed up how fast you level up is to get the full Pal Capture Bonus. It gives you a substantial amount of EXP, although it is technically limited.
Every time you capture a Pal, you’ll see that there is a counter that goes up to 5 when their description shows up. You can see it in the bottom right corner of the screen after a successful capture.
You’ll get a pretty big chunk of EXP from this Capture Bonus. Additionally, you’ll get a Mimog Effigy as an extra reward once you capture a Pal species 5 times. You can use that for extra upgrades at a Statue of Power.
So, essentially, you want to capture every species of Pal a total of 5 times at minimum. Doing so will greatly speed up how fast you level up. That said, the bonus is mainly for your character. Pals don’t get much EXP out of this.

To help you keep track of what Pals you still need to catch, you can use the Paldeck. It tracks the bonus for each species you’ve met. Additionally, Pals with a maxed Capture Bonus will have a yellow Pal Sphere icon.

Additionally, you can tell if you’ve maxed out the Capture Bonus by looking at Pals out in the wild. Just look out for the Pal Sphere icon next to their names! If it’s white, you haven’t caught that species 5 times. If it’s yellow, you have. No icon at all means you’ve never captured that species.
It’s also worth noting that the EXP from the Pal Capture Bonus scales to your character level, not the level of captured Pals. So, even low-level Pals are useful if you missed them!
Regardless, while it’s not great for leveling Pals, this is by far one of the best ways to boost your character’s level! Make sure to max out the Capture Bonus for every Pal species to make leveling smoother.
Boost Your Pal EXP Gain

If you wish to boost how much EXP the Pals in your party gain, I highly recommend that you bring an Omascul with you. You can find this Pal extremely easily all over Feybreak island.
What makes Omascul special is its Partner Skill, Masquerade Dance. Thanks to it, just having Omascul in your party will boost all of your Party Pals’ EXP gain! This goes from +40% by default and goes all the way up to +80% once you Condense Omascul to Rank 4.
Do note, however, that this Partner Skill does not stack! As such, having a single Omascul is all you need. Just try to use the Pal Essence Condenser to get it to max Rank as soon as possible and enjoy the passive +80% Pal EXP gain!

In addition to this, I highly recommend obtaining the Growth Acceleration Bell. We covered it in more detail in our guide about the best Accessories in Palworld 1.0.
The gist of it is that you can find the schematic for it on the western side of Mount Flopie Summit. Then, craft it by using 25 Ingot, 30 Paldium Fragment, 10 Mysterious Mushroom, and 3 Ancient Civilization Parts.
Once you have it, just equip the Growth Acceleration Bell, and you’ll get +50% Pal EXP! This bonus does stack with Omascul’s Partner Skill, so having both is a must if you wish to level up Pals quickly.
As a final method to boost your Pal EXP Gain, you can eat certain foods or feed them to your Pals. Fried Gloopie Balls and Jelliete’s Jiggly Jelly both give a small EXP Gain buff for a limited time!
Combine some or all of these EXP boosters to make leveling even faster, especially for your Pals.
Complete Dungeons

As you explore the Palpagos Islands, you’ll come across archways that lead to Dungeons. Dungeons all have set locations, although they’re not always open. I recommend marking them on your map so you can check on them later.
Regardless, I highly recommend going through these Dungeons whenever you encounter them. They have exclusive Pals within, as well as many goodies.
What’s more, completing them will also give you a substantial amount of EXP! Both from defeating the boss Pals at the end, as well as opening the treasure chests you find within.
Additionally, these Dungeons are also a good source of Training Manuals. You can use these items on your Pals to give them a quick boost of EXP.
Ultimately, Dungeons are extremely rewarding and can also be done pretty quickly, provided your team is prepared. Make sure to do them as often as possible for some easy levels.
Go Through the Forbidden Laboratory

Once you reach the endgame World Tree area, your best bet for leveling up is the Forbidden Laboratory. It’s located at the northwestern corner of the World Tree map.
To use this for powerleveling Pals, you want to have 1 or 2 carry Pals. That is, Pals that are strong enough that they can do all of the work. For example, a combination of Knocklem Ignis and Maraith works well here.
Then, you’ll need to fill up the rest of your party with the Pals you want to level up. These will not be used for combat at all, so they can just be anything you want!
By clearing the Forbidden Laboratory, you’ll easily be able to get your Pals from Level 1 to 71. That is, provided you’re using the Growth Acceleration Bell, which you should for this method. At that point, a few more clears would get them to Level 80.
You can also speed this even further if you manage to fit a Rank 4 Omascul into your party. Ideally, you could try training one to be strong enough to be a carry Pal in their own right!

As an alternative, you can also try just repeatedly defeating Zenara and Astralym. It is actually possible to defeat them in just a couple of minutes if you build your party around it.
Regardless, the gist of this is simple! Get a Pal or 2 that are strong enough to carry an entire team, then fill the rest of the party with Pals you wish to level up. Then, repeatedly clear whichever hardest content you can tackle! Which, at the endgame, mainly means the Forbidden Laboratory or the Zenara boss fight.
Wrapping Up
Ultimately, there are lot of things you can do to level up fast in Palworld 1.0, making the progression through levels 1-80 smoother.
For your character, the main thing to do is to max out the Pal Capture Bonus for every species. For your Pals, tackle challenging content such as Dungeons, while ensuring you have Pal EXP Gain boosters like Omascul.
With that, you should now be ready to more easily hit the Level 80 cap! For more help with progression, though, check out our recommended 1-80 progression guide. It gives more general tips on progression!
