House Flipper 2 players might have encountered issues with the game’s loading screen or have found themselves stuck on the loading screen.
Multiple players have come forward with this issue, so we’re here to show you how to fix House Flipper 2 not loading on your PC.
How To Fix House Flipper 2 Not Loading On Your PC
Here are all of the ways you can fix this problem. Hopefully one of these works for you until the developers over at Frozen District can fix this issue with an update.
1. Restart Your Computer
As typical as this is, sometimes all it takes to fix any technical problem is to turn your gadget on and off again. Don’t discount this as a genuine solution, as it has been known to fix the problems for some players.
Restart your computer once and launch the game. If the game is still having problems loading, head to the next step.
2. Unplug Anything and Everything
If you have any external devices that you aren’t currently using or important for your setup to run, unplug them.
Disable anything like Razer Synapse, and disconnect any additional controls or multiple monitors. Disable Steam Overlay (right-click on the game and select Properties), and all overlay apps like Discord or GeForce Experience.
Close all overclocking apps like MSI Afterburner or anything similar, end Nahimic services, lightingservice.exe, firefox/chrome, and any third-party app.
Yes. Close everything. This is an unconventional fix but it’s worked for many players. Make sure only Steam and the game are open and hopefully, this will work.
Clean Boot
You can also perform a clean boot after doing everything mentioned above. To do this, open System Configuration and go to the Services tab. Tick the box that says, “Hide all Microsoft Services”.
Restart the PC and try and launch the game.
3. Close OneDrive/Google Drive/Cloud Services
Sometimes having any of the drive services open can affect the game’s loading. Make sure that you don’t have any of these running in the background by checking on your Task Manager and clicking “End Task” if they are running.
4. Avoid Using Alt+Tab
Sometimes using Alt+Tab while the game is open can cause the game to crash. We suggest not touching anything on your keyboard while waiting for the game to load.
5. Turn Off/On V-Sync, Etc.
Skip this if you can launch the game. If you can’t, turn V-Sync off – if the game doesn’t work when it’s off, turn it on and see if that changes anything.
Set Dynamic Resolution mode (FRS/DLSS) to quality, turn off DLSS, and switch to Exclusive Full Screen. If the latter doesn’t work, try switching to windowed mode and lower your graphics settings.
Relaunch the game after these settings have been changed. If this doesn’t work try the next step.
6. Update System BIOS
Go to your system’s website and select your computer’s model number. Update your systemBIOS (make sure you’re charged during this if you’re on your laptop, and to be safe, backup your data).
7. Try -dx11/-dx12 in Launch Options
To do this, right-click on the game in your Steam Library and select Properties. In the Launch Options on the General page, type in “-dx11” and try to open the game. If this doesn’t work, try doing the same steps but with “-dx12”.
If this still isn’t working, clear the Launch Options bar and follow the next step.
8. Allow the Game to Your Antivirus Program
If you are using services like Avas, MacAfee, or Windows Security, make sure that the game has access.
On Windows Security:
Go to Settings.
Open Privacy and Security.
Open Windows Security.
Open Virus and Threat Protection.
Scroll down and open Manage Ransomware Protection.
Click on Allow an App through Controlled Folder Access.
Add House Flipper 2 (the .exe file) to your Allowed Apps.
If you use a different antivirus program, open the settings and look for the option to either disable it or allow access to the House Flipper 2 .exe file.
9. Verify the Game Files
To verify the game files, right-click on the game and select Properties. Open the Installed Files tab and click Verify Integrity of the Game Files.
10. Run the Game From the Game Installation Folder
Right-click on the game select Manage and click Browse Local Files. Run the game by clicking on the .exe file. If this doesn’t work, run it as an administrator.
If that doesn’t work, open the Properties of the .exe file and open Compatibility. Select Windows 8 and then click on Apply. Try running the game again. If this doesn’t work, try it again with Windows 7 compatibility.
On the off chance that this still doesn’t work, deselect all the boxes from the Compatibility page and follow the next steps.
11. Clean Installation of Graphics Card Drivers
Go to your graphics cards’ designated website and check if you have the latest drivers installed for the model you are using.
If you don’t, download and install these drivers and try running the game.
12. For Laptops With Dual Graphics Cards, Run the Game on the Dedicated Graphics Card
Some laptops will have dual graphics cards. One will be meant for games and the other for less taxing work. Make sure that you are running the game with the former.
You can access this in the Graphics settings. Click on browse and go to the game installation folder. Open the game folder and select the .exe file. Click that select the High-Performance option and launch the game.
13. Delete the Save Game Files
For this step, keep in mind that doing this will delete all your current game progress. So you will have to start everything from scratch.
Open your files folder and open Documents. Open the House Flipper 2 folder and right-click on it.
Press delete and try to launch the game.
14. Update Windows
This solution has worked for some, and if you’re not too particular about your OS, head to settings and open the Windows Update screen.
Check for an update and once they’re all installed, restart your PC and try to launch the game.
Make sure both installations are complete. Restart your device afterward and try to launch the game.
16. Increase the Virtual Memory
To increase your virtual memory, type “View advanced system settings” in the Windows search bar. Open View Advanced System Settings and click on Settings under the Performance tab.
Go to the Advanced tab and click on Change. Uncheck the box that says “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives”. Select the drive where the game is installed.
Tick the “Custom Size” option and set Initial Size to 1.5 x Total RAM in MB. Set Maximum Size to 3 x Total RAM in MB. Yes, this solution will require a bit of math.
To check your RAM, open your Windows Settings and head to System > About. You should be able to find how much RAM you have in GB. Convert that number to Megabytes and multiply it by 1.5 and 3 respectively.
Click OK and apply these changes. Restart your device and try to launch the game. If this doesn’t work, try the last solution
17. Uninstall the Game, Delete Files, and Reinstall to C Drive
As it says, uninstall the game from your device. You can do this from Steam, or by opening the game folder in your file manager and clicking the Uninstall.exe file.
After this, delete all the game files (you will lose all your game progress) by following the steps from solution 13. Reinstall the game in your C drive, restart your device, and try to launch the game.
This guide should give you all possible solutions on how to fix House Flipper 2 not loading on your PC. Hopefully, one of these works for you so you can get back to flipping real estate to your heart’s desire.
