Monster Hunter: Sunbreak: Jungle Map Sub-Camp Location

Sunbreak’s Jungle map features a sub-camp that players can establish, just like earlier maps in Monster Hunter Rise’s base edition. During missions, these camps serve as fast travel hubs, allowing hunters to reach a particular location on the map much more quickly.

It can be inconvenient to lose a battle to a difficult enemy in the middle of a quest and then have to waste time running back to the location.

Campsites offer extra fast travel locations throughout the maps of Monster Hunter Rise, as well as a place to eat, rest, and switch your loadout. You must locate the Jungle sub-camp to access an unlock quest. Then, chat with the shopkeeper in Kamura or Elgado. Once the quest is finished, that camp will become a fast travel location and tent site.

Unlocking Jungle Sub-Camp

The first new area you’ll encounter in the Sunbreak expansion is the Jungle, which has one sub-camp. The Jungle sub-camp is located north of the large tree in the middle of the map, in the exact center.

The campsite will be above ground, and you will need to climb the wall in Area 3. Head to the area marked on the image above, and accept a Jungle quest from Oboro to gain the Jungle map’s unlock quest.

Return to the jungle and kill eight Hermitaurs, which are small crab-like monsters, to set up the camp. You can mostly find them near a beach. Simply take an expedition in the Jungle, eliminate the monsters, and then head back to Oboro to finish this.
