Having a spade shovel is crucial for digging up treasure in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 so you’ll want to know where to find a free early.

Well, sure, you can just buy the spade from the first trader you meet in Troskowitz. But, why spend what little coin you have in the early game when you can get one for free?

In this short guide, we’ll tell you where to go to grab a free spade in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2!

You can find a free spade shovel quite early in the game, close to where the game starts. Just go directly east from Troskowitz. You’ll find the Troskowitz Cemetery there. What better place to find a spade than a cemetery, right?

Once you’re at the cemetery, look for a small building on the eastern edge of the cemetery. You should automatically notice the spade right next to the building’s entrance, waiting for you to pick it up!

Now, grabbing this spade would count as stealing. If you wish to maintain a good reputation, make sure that nobody is watching you as you grab the spade. Also, the spade itself weighs in at 7 pounds. It’s quite heavy, all things considered, so make sure you have the carry capacity for it.

Either way, that’s all you need to know about where to find a free spade shovel early in KCD2. Grab it and keep it in your inventory! If you do so, you’ll get prompts to dig in specific spots across the map. This usually leads to some pretty worthwhile loot, such as Brunswick’s Armor from The Lion’s Crest DLC!

Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
