Arrakis is a planet filled with a lot of opportunities as there are dangers. In Dune: Spice Wars, knowing the terrain is already considered a valuable resource, as you’ll need to utilize it and fully develop your faction. When it comes to resources, the most important resource is Spice, which is symbolized by purple dust locations. Next to Spice are Plascrete and Water. Find out more as you read through the article below.
Spice
Every 20 days, you are required to pay an increasing Spice Tax or Bribe as payment for residing in Arrakis. Failure to do so will have negative consequences in the long run as your faction will suffer penalties, making spice the most important resource.
You can gain Spice in many different ways like exploiting SpiceFields, exploring the area, trading with other factions, or through agent missions.
Plascrete
In Dune: Spice Wars, Plascrete is the primary construction resource. After Spice, this is arguably the most critical as you’ll need many for development on Arrakis.
You will mainly use this resource to build structures and maintain their upkeep. Plascrete can be obtained in points of interest, buildings, faction trading, or by completing agent missions.
Water
Aside from Plascrete, Water is also a major resource on Arrakis. It is crucial for maintaining and recruiting units, claiming a new village, and trading with neutral Fremen for resources.
Water is only acquired from buildings and agent missions.
Man Power
On the other hand, Manpower is used for military purposes and indicates your faction’s power to train soldiers, deploy field army units, and militia garrisons. You can increase manpower by making certain buildings and region features, or participating in agent infiltration missions.
