Helldivers 2 is brand spanking new, this co-op intergalactic third-person shooter game delivers on all fronts. In the frantic struggle to get rid of an alien threat, one thing you’ll need to have is the ability to switch between your primary weapons.

You’ll be given two weapons after successfully completing your training, a primary weapon and a secondary sidearm, with the option to add a heavy weapon to your loadout. Switching weapons could be the difference between survival or defeat, here’s how it works.

How to Change Your Primary Weapon

Each mission requires a tactical strategy, and with that comes the need for the use of different weapons. For this, you’ll need to constantly return to your ship, which serves as the base of your team’s operations.

More importantly, the ship is the one place where you can change your primary weapon on your quest.

The Ship

Earlier, we mentioned that the ship is the base of your team’s operations in Helldivers 2. Here you’ll find everything that you need including armor and weapons.

On the left-hand side of the bridge, you’ll find the Armory. As you can see from the image above, all your weapons are stored there.

Once you’re at the Armory, here you’ll be able to view your primary, secondary, and grenade classes of weapons. After every mission, you can take a look at the best loadouts and adjust accordingly.

To change your primary weapon, select the primary category, as seen in the image above.

Hopefully, it’s all guns blazing from here on out!
