While Palworldallows you to capture hundreds of cute monsters known as Pals, it also allows you to capture other humans.
It’s fair to say it’s a morally dubious action, and even the game tries to hide the fact that it’s possible. Nonetheless, it’s very much possible and it even has some surprising gameplay benefits for you!
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to expand your quest to catch ‘em all beyond just capturing monsters.
How to Capture Humans
Capturing humans actually works the exact same as it does with Pals. You just need to weaken them and throw a Pal Sphere at them.
The main difference is that the game doesn’t actually display the Capture Chance at all until you throw the Pal Sphere.
This might lead you to believe it’s impossible, but the game’s just being a little sneaky!
Another big difference is that attacking friendly NPCs will automatically give you a “Wanted” status. Officers will spawn around you and try to kill you until you lose the Wanted status, so be warned.
You will need to run and hide for a while to lose the Wanted status. Alternatively, you can also just die and respawn.
Dying is actually optimal, provided you are in a place where it’s easy to reach your dropped items!
There is, however, no apparent penalty of any kind for capturing hostile NPCs, such as Syndicate grunts and the like.
The other big issue with capturing humans is that the capture chance is incredibly low.
You’re very unlikely to successfully catch humans unless you max out your Capture Power and use the highest tier of Pal Spheres, Legendary Pal Spheres.
As for if it’s worth the effort… not really, for most of the humans. Captured humans are genderless, so they can’t breed to inherit skills and the like.
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
