One of the biggest selling points for Palworld is that it combines cutesy Pokémon-like creatures with guns, but it turns out that it’s hard to get a gun.
Despite their prominence in marketing materials, though, guns in this game aren’t unlocked until about midway through the game. We’ve all been slightly bamboozled…
In this guide, we’ll tell you what you need to do to get yourself a gun. In Palworld, of course!
Arm Yourself, Pal!
The only way to get guns in Palworld is to craft them at a workbench, but you will need to first learn their recipes on the Technology tree.
Here’s every gun in the game and at which level they become available in the Technology tree, as well as which materials they require:
Level 21, Musket – Ingot x25, High Quality Pal Oil x5, Wood x30
Level 25, Makeshift Handgun – Ingot x35, High Quality Pal Oil x10, Fiber x30
Level 29, Handgun – Ingot x50, High Quality Pal Oil x15, Refined Ingot x20.
As for the others, they can all be primarily obtained by killing certain Pals, as follows:
Carbon Fiber – Jetragon, Shadowbeak.
Fiber – Hangyu, Hoocrates, or chopping down trees.
High Quality Pal Oil – Damud, DIgtoise, Elphidran, Flambelle, Grintale, Mammorest, Quivern, Relaxaurus, Woolipop.
Polymer – Jetragon.
Lastly, as a fun fact, you can technically get a gun of sorts earlier. You can unlock the Lifmunk Submachine Gun ability at Level 11. Here’s how to do it!
Anyway, now you know what to do to get a gun in Palworld.
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
