Roots of Pacha: How to Fish

You can’t survive in the wild if you don’t know how to fish.

Fishing in pixel-based indie games tends to be a difficult slog (I’m looking at you, Stardew Valley). But in Roots of Pacha, the fishing process is streamlined and easy enough for anyone to do it while still being fun.

How To Fish In Roots Of Pacha

First, find a good spot in the water to set up your fishing pole.

Once you do, select number 2 on your work belt, then left-click on the water itself. This will bring up the fishing interface.

Give it a few seconds, and you should see some bubbles pop out of the water or maybe even a fish itself.

Once you spot a fish, hover your mouse over it, and try your best to track the fish with your mouse as it swims along. If you move too fast, you’ll be warned with a quick “Move Away!”.

As you hover your mouse over the fish, you’ll see some dots below it start to fill up.

Once all the dots below the first fill up, you’ll hear an audible sound, and “Catch Now!” will flash on the screen. This is when you know it’s time to make your move.

Simply left-click again to catch your fish.

Once you catch it, the type of fish will flash in the bottom left corner of the screen, as well as any records you may have achieved.

And that’s all there is to it. You now know how to fish in Roots of Pacha.

Best Spots To Fish In Roots of Pacha

Sure, there may be water all around you, but that doesn’t mean you should spend your time fishing at every random watering hole. There are over 30 different types of fish to catch in this game, and in order to pull that off, you need to find the best spots to fish.

So grab your fishing pole and head to these areas:

  • The Cave
  • The Beach
  • The Savanna
  • The Forest River, both the lower and upper areas.

Now go out there and catch some fish!
