How to Solve the Bear Totem Puzzle in Roots of Pacha
You will need to bring 3 offerings to the Bear Totem first, this will unlock its challenge.

Roots of Pacha: How to Find Horses | Horse Totem GuideMay 3, 2023- Cheese – can be made with the Cheese Cloth.
- Honey – can be obtained from Bee Hives.
- Wine – can be made by a Brewer.
You will have to progress until you have access to these stations if you don’t have them yet.
Either way, bring these three offerings to the Bear Totem and you will be able to take its challenge.
This challenge requires you to use the bear’s power to break rocks and find different hints. You then use these hints to complete the painting of what the bear dreamed.
How to Complete the Bear’s Challenge
First, break the wall to the left of the room and follow the narrow path. You will have to break the rocks in your way to make it through.
Make your way to the leftmost side of the room and you should see a small room full of rocks. Break the rocks and you will find the first hint beneath one of them.
Now head back to the starting room and go through the top right exit until you reach another large room.
As before, break the rocks and make your way to the top right corner. You will find the second hint below some rocks.
Go back to the starting room and take the bottom right exit. The hint in this room will be under a rock on the puddle in the middle of the room, so you can get it very quickly.
Only one more left! Back at the main room, take the bottom left exit. Head straight down in this room to find the fourth and final hint under a rock near the very bottom of the area.
How to Complete the Bear’s Dream Painting
It’s time to reveal the bear’s dream! Interact with the bear-paw door back in the main room to start the painting puzzle. The solution is as follows, in order from left to right:
- Looks like a river.
- Looks like some bears having fun.
- Looks like some pomegranates and roots.
- Looks like a starry night.
A door will open, revealing a massive dark room. You just need to head inside and a cutscene will play out, confirming that you beat the Bear Totem’s challenge.
