Minecraft Legends is a deceptively deep strategy game when you dive into its competitive Player vs Player mode.

There are a lot of things to keep track of, especially when playing in team matches, so it can be very overwhelming.

If you find yourself having a hard time in PvP, fret not! In this guide, we’ll give you a variety of tips and tricks that are certain to help you do better.

Have a Plan

While it’s easier said than done, you should go into each match knowing what to do. This is doubly true if you’re playing in teams.

For example, each player in the team should have an assigned role. One should gather, another should raid Piglin forts, another should scout enemy players, etc.

Having a clear idea of what to do will prevent you and your team from wasting time and resources.

On that note, you will definitely want to start the game by focusing on Piglin bases more than on enemy players. They are the main source of resources, such as Lapiz and Prismarine for upgrades.

Also, don’t neglect gathering resources even if that’s not your specific role. Resources are shared across everyone in the team, but every player has a different and limited set of Allays.

Build Strong Defenses

While building a single strong wall might seem good enough at first, you will want to do a bit more than that in the long run.

Build multiple layers of walls, for example, so that your enemies need to do much more than just take one wall down.

It’s also a good idea to have a maze-like structure, including decoy walls. This will help distract the enemy mobs, which might earn you valuable time to launch a counter-offensive!

Explore the World

The world is generated at the start of each match, which means no two games are the same.

You should be making sure to explore the world quickly and look for Allay chests. Make sure to grab them before your opponents do to get a massive advantage!

You can even speed things up further by finding a Regal Tiger mount out in the world, which is much faster than the default horse.

It’s also important to find resources as you explore, of course. Remember, you should have Allays gathering resources at all times.

Watch Your Health

If you take damage, you can restore hearts at any time by disengaging from combat. Simply run away to fight another day!

You get even faster regeneration if you stand close to the Carpenter’s Hut, as well, so keep that in mind if you’re on defense.

Don’t fear death too much, though! It only takes 10 seconds to respawn. Launching a full-on assault and dying isn’t too bad if you and your team plan around the respawn timers.

Communicate With Your Team

As you might have realized by now, proper teamwork is absolutely vital for victory in Minecraft Legends PvP. As such, make sure to communicate with your team.

Make sure to let your teammates know when you spot an enemy near your base, for example, so that you can focus on taking them out before they pose too much of a threat.

You can even use the in-game ping system to instantly let your teammates know if you need resources for buildings, too, which comes in clutch often.

Plan Your Offensive

It’s not ideal to focus all of your troops on attacking a single position. This would mean that they could be taken out all at once by certain buildings and units.

You should be spreading out your troops and attacking from different angles, instead. This will also force your opponents to spread themselves thin defending multiple positions!

Also, make sure to prioritize targets properly. For example, you will want to take out the Carpenter’s Huts first because it repairs nearby buildings.

You might also want to stage offensives at night when possible. Piglins are stronger at night, try to use that to your advantage by leading them to enemy bases!
