There are about a dozen classes in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Traderbut not all of them are equally as strong, which this class tier list reveals.
If you want to maximize your party’s efficiency, you’ll need to choose the best classes, known as Archetypes in this game.
Now, continue reading and we’ll give you our Archetype tier list for Rogue Trader.
Class Tier List: Archetypes Ranked From Best to Worst
S Tier: Master Tactician, Officer
A Tier: Warrior, Assassin, Arch-Militant, Soldier
B Tier: Operative
C Tier: Grand Strategist, Vanguard
D Tier: Bounty Hunter
S Tier
Master Tactician and Officer stand tall above the others thanks to their overall versatility and extremely good Action Point usage.
The Master Tactician’s “Press the Advantage” allows them to spend Tactical Advantage to gain extra damage. This can stack, leading to insanely powerful single-shot attacks.
The Officer, on the other hand, can bolster their entire team’s Action Points. Overall, they’re key to giving their team more turns, but they rely heavily on the strength of their allies.
A Tier
Warrior, Assassin, Arch-Militant, and Soldier all sit confidently in the A-Tier. They’re all equally good attackers, especially when bolstered by the Officer and Master Tactician units.
Generally speaking, they’re all equally powerful depending on which type of attacker you want.
Warriors are great for melee, Assassins are great at single-target damage, and the Arch-Militant and Soldier are great for ranged attacks.
B Tier
Moving to the B tier, the Operative is a pretty good class during the first two acts. Their Analyze ability is great early on, but it becomes useless later on.
At least by then you can get the Assassin advanced archetype, though!
C Tier
In C Tier we have the Grand Strategist and Vanguard, which are this low mostly due to their situational usefulness.
Similarly, the Vanguard’s overall playstyle is finicky as they rely on taunting their enemies. However, they can be useful in protecting Warriors sometimes.
D Tier
Lastly, we have the Bounty Hunter in D Tier for one simple reason: they rely too heavily on buffs from killing enemies. Combat will be over by the time the Bounty Hunter is ready!
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
