All in all, the Plasma Lord build turns Pasqal into someone who can truly dominate the battlefield in every way possible!
One of the basics of this build is that you want to level up Intelligence every single time you get the chance to. There’s no need to increase other stats until you max it out.
As for skills, you should make sure to level up Tech Use, especially if you’re playing on higher difficulties.
The gist of this build’s playstyle is that Pasqal will get a lot of AP by shooting enemies with Plasma guns. Then he can either spend those AP to buff his entire party and debuff all enemies, or to keep firing away.
The biggest advantage of Plasma weapons is their ability to handle nearly every combat scenario.
They work well against heavily armored weapons as they can bypass defenses more effectively than most alternatives. Against groups, their area damage allows Pasqal to spread damage across multiple targets while generating value from Operative exploits.
That said, unlike some specialized weapon paths, Plasma remains useful from the early game all the way into Unfair difficulty.

Recommended Archetypes You Should Pick
For the game’s current version, you want to go Operative, then Bounty Hunter.
Operative provides exploit generation, enemy analysis, and damage amplification. Meanwhile, Bounty Hunter complements this perfectly by rewarding kills and allowing Pasqal to take advantage of priority targets more efficiently.
Since Operative talents and scaling have been buffed in Patch 1.6, this combination performs better than it did in previous versions of the game.
Also, when you level Pasqal, make sure to focus on Ballistic Skill, Intelligence, and Perception.
Ballistic Skill improves accuracy and critical reliability, while Intelligence boosts many of Pasqal’s class features and Plasma synergies. Meanwhile, Perception helps ensure attacks connect consistently against higher-level enemies.
Weapon Skill remains useful if you occasionally rely on his melee options, but a dedicated Plasma Lord build should prioritize ranged effectiveness first.
How to Play the Pasqal Plasma Lord Build Effectively
You should equip a Plasma Rifle on Pasqal, and it should be his primary weapon for most of the game.
As stronger variants become available, you can continue upgrading into higher-tier Plasma weaponry rather than switching to Melta or Arc-focused setups.
Ideally, your weapon should come with high armor penetration, strong area damage, bonus critical chance, and increased Plasma damage.
As far as playing the build goes, you want to start encounters by applying exploits to priority targets.
Once you have marked your targets, use Plasma attacks to capitalize on the accumulated bonuses. Against clustered enemies, however, you should focus on maximizing AoE. As for elite opponents, stack exploits before committing your strongest attacks.
Don’t make the mistake of treating Pasqal purely as a support character. While he still offers excellent utility, modern Plasma builds allow him to function as a legitimate damage dealer capable of eliminating high-value targets while simultaneously weakening enemy groups.
