Where To Find Nestor’s Stash In Stalker 2 Heart of Chornobyl

“The Price Goes Up” is one of the first main story quests in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl and it will ask you to find Nestor’s Stash as you progress through it.

Nestor’s Stash is in the Slag Heap, the game pretty much tells you that directly, but reaching it isn’t so easy. The thing is, the stash is in a crane at the top of the area. You’ll need to go through some very dangerous toxic areas to reach it!

Where To Find Nestor’s Stash | The Price Goes Up Quest

As the description for “The Price Goes Up” in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl states, you can find Nestor’s Stash in the Slag Heap within the Garbage region. To start, go to the spot marked on the map above.

Once you’re there, look for the building with the scaffolding on its side. Go up the scaffolding to reach the ladder on the building’s side.

Climb up the ladder and you’ll end up in the building’s rooftop. Look over the handrail on the eastern side of the building and look for a rusted bus.

Jump onto the bus and then drop down to the ground going south.

Once you see the entrance to a cave, turn to your right.

Go through the broken bus while being careful to not get too close to the junkyard to the right. This area’s pretty dangerous due to extremely high levels of radiation, so you can die very quickly if you’re not careful!

Going Through the Toxic Waste Cave

When you’re out of the bus, look for another cave entrance. This time, go inside and drop down the red chute to your left.

After you fall, crouch and try to carefully move to your left. Try to avoid falling off into the toxic waste.

Then, walk across the beams to go deeper into the cave.

Follow the linear path until you reach a wooden ladder with yellow markings. You can take the ladder up to continue the quest right away, but you can also go left to get some extra loot if you want to first.

Either way, the ladder will take you back outside. You’re now at the top of the Slag Heap, near a large crane. Approach Richter, who’s standing on the crane, to initiate a conversation.

After the short conversation, go forward a bit more and look down to find a grey backpack near the end of the crane.

Loot the backpack once you find it to complete the “Search Nestor’s Stash” objective for “The Price Goes Up” in Stalker 2 Heart of Chornobyl. That’s all there is to it! Seriously, of all the places… why did it have to be at the top of this crane?

Anyway, you’ll get a pretty sweet shotgun from the backpack, so it was definitely worth the effort. Pair the shotgun with the best early game armor possible and you’ll have less trouble dealing with the many threats you encounter in the Zones.
