If you’re tired of dealing with the horrors of the Zone in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, it’s time to find and play the guitar.

STALKER veterans, rejoice. You can finally play the guitar for the first time in the series! Well, not counting mods and the like, of course. It’s also something you can do pretty early on in the game, so starting your musician career in the Zone doesn’t take very long either.

Read on and we’ll quickly tell you how to find and play the guitar in STALKER 2.

How to Find & Play the Guitar | S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl

You can find the guitar at Zalissya in the Lesser Zone region. It’s near the useable Bed, as you can see on the map above. It’s in the same building as Hamster, the Trader.

Check the northern part of the building and you’ll spot a bunk bed with the guitar on it. Just pick it up and it’s all yours! Don’t fret if you don’t see it in your inventory afterward, though. It seems to be permanently equipped on you but without taking any inventory space.

To play the guitar, bring up the weapon radial menu. You open it by pressing TAB (Keyboard and Mouse) or LB/L1 (Controller). You should now see your guitar at the bottom middle of the screen. As the game instructs, press G (Keyboard and Mouse) or the Right Stick (Controller) to pull out your guitar!

Skif will automatically sit down once you take the guitar out. Use the radial wheel on the middle right part of the screen to play different chords. You can also press TAB (Keyboard and Mouse) or LB/L1 (Controller) again to change the scale of the chords.

So, there you have it, that’s all you need to know to be able to find and play the guitar in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. It’s going to be fun to see how many covers of popular songs players manage to pull off on this thing. Plus, it’s definitely a welcome respite from dealing with all the nonsense going on in the Zone and its surroundings…

Speaking of the nonsense in the Zone, though, you should look for an upgraded Artifact Detector. They make it much easier to deal with Anomalies and find Artifacts. They are highly recommended if you still have the basic Echo Detector!
