Briar Hens are a variant of the Chicken in Slime Rancher 2, and are much more rarely seen – we’ve got a location guide for you on where to find them in Ember Valley.
If you’re looking for ‘Meat’ in Slime Rancher 2, your only option for feeding Slimes are ‘Chickens.’ Even in the earlier parts of the game, you can find Chickens roaming around Rainbow Fields (East) and around The Conservatory.
Meat-eating Slimes include Pink Slimes, Ringtail Slimes, Tabby Slime, and Angler Slime.
This is not including Gordo Slimes.
The various types of Chickens in Slime Rancher 2 include: Hen Hen (common), Roostro (uncommon), Stoney Hen (rare), Briar Hen (rare), Sea Hen (rare).
Some variants/types of Chickens are much more difficult to locate, however. This includes the “Briar Hen,” which is more commonly seen in Ember Valley and is considered rare.
We’ve got a Briar Hen Location Guide for all the Slime Rancher 2 players out there.
Briar Hen Locations Guide for Slime Rancher 2
Briar Hens are typically located most frequently in Ember Valley – we’ve given an example of a location where they’ve been commonly found on the map below.
You’ll be able to find them in nesting areas/nests, sometimes alongside their Chickadoo variant. These spawns do appear to be random, so locations are never exact – simply keep an eye out in Ember Valley for any nests you spot.
It is also important to know that whenever a Roostro is present, Briar Hens can lay eggs that end up hatching into Briar Chickadoos – these will then mature into a fully grown Briar Hen or Roostro. If you’re using a coop and farming Chickens, it is possible to obtain Briar Hens by chance.
