Just like the base game, Lies of P: Overture allows you to collect a variety of music items called Record, which you can listen to for the “Memory’s Melody” trophy or achievement.

There are a total of 8 new Records found in the Overture DLC. Just like the ones in the base game, most of them are given as rewards for quests. Similarly, they’re all also mainly piano covers of tracks from the DJMAX series of rhythm games. Really nice use of the developer’s history, right?

Read on, let’s start collecting all of these 8 new Records! Do be warned, though, there will be some spoilers for quests.

Lisrim

Let’s kick things off with the earliest record you can get in the DLC. For this one, talk to Rosaura next to the Carnival Garden Stargazer. It’s in Overture Chapter 1, so it’s very early! Ask her about her lost shoes and she’ll ask you to retrieve them.

To get the shoes, you’ll essentially need to ride the Ferris wheel at the carnival. It will allow you to reach a platform that takes you to the top of the carousel, which is where the shoes are. For the full details, check out our guide on Rosaura’s shoes location.

Either way, return the shoes to Rosaura and she will reward you with the Lisrim Record, as well as Rosaura’s Treasure: Piece of a Drawing item.

The Clear Blue Sky

The Clear Blue Sky Start | Lies Of P: Overture - All Record Locations - Memory's Melody Trophy

For this one, you’ll need to complete Goddard’s quest line. This can only be done before you finish Overture! To start, warp to the Zoo Tram Station Stargazer. It’s in Overture Chapter 1, after you’ve already gone through the carnival area. Once you’re there, look for a lady in a wheelchair named Goddard and speak to her.

Goddard 1

Goddard will ask you to retrieve a “painting” next to her easel when you first meet. The painting, which is a blank canvas, is by the tram station’s handrail. Pick it up and then talk to Goddard again.

Goddard 2

When you get a dialogue choice here, select “Incredible! It is a brilliant work of art.” This is, of course, a lie! So, keep that in mind if you’re planning on doing a no-lies playthrough here.

Goddard’s Art Supplies

Next up, you’ll need to retrieve Goddard’s Art Supplies. You can find them most easily by starting from the Elixir Research Zone Stargazer, which is in Overture Chapter 2.

Goddard 3

Go straight from the Stargazer and go through the first two open cell doors.

Goddard 4

Then, when you reach a large room, take your first right possible.

Goddard 5

You should now see a blue item glow right in front of you, on a table next to an operating table. Pick that item up to receive Goddard’s Art Supplies.

Now, return to Goddard at the Zoo Tram Station and return the art supplies to her. She’ll thank you profusely and will give you a Dim Ergo Chunk as a reward.

Finishing Goddard’s Quest

Lumacchio | Lies Of P: Overture - All Record Locations - Memory's Melody Trophy

For the next step, you just need to progress the main story of Overture until you defeat Lumacchio in Overture Chapter 4. It doesn’t matter how you deal with him, just defeat him and return to Goddard at the Zoo Tram Station once again.

Goddard Quest End | Lies Of P: Overture - All Record Locations - Memory's Melody Trophy

Interact with Goddard this time to receive the Painter’s Sky item and the “To the One Within the Darkness” letter. Read the letter in your inventory to get some closure for the quest and you’ll receive The Clear Blue Sky Record.

Nightmare

Nightmare Start | Lies Of P: Overture - All Record Locations - Memory's Melody Trophy

Similar to the previous record, Nightmare is tied to a quest of sorts. It also can only be done before you finish Overture! To start, proceed as normal through the Ancient Ruins Excavation Site in Overture Chapter 3. At one point you’ll cross a wooden bridge going down, take a left when you do.

Crusher 1

As soon as you enter the cave there, you’ll hear a robotic voice talking to you. Look around the room to find a Crusher Puppet and talk to it to start the quest properly.

Crusher 2

Next up, continue through Overture Chapter 3 until you reach the Ergo Mining Site Stargazer. You’ll need to use a moving platform to proceed through the level there. Once you use it, go down the path to the right to hear the Crusher Puppet calling for you again.

Crusher 3

Go past the crates and follow the tracks going up to reach the puppet.

Second Crusher Puppet | Lies Of P: Overture - All Record Locations - Memory's Melody Trophy

Talk to the Crusher Puppet once again.

Crusher 5

After talking, take the exit next to the Crusher Puppet to return to the main path of the level.

Crusher 6

Once you drop down from the cave, turn to your right and follow the path across the short wooden bridge.

Crusher 7

This will lead you to a second, much longer wooden bridge. Run across the bridge to reach the next cave section.

Third Crusher Puppet | Lies Of P: Overture - All Record Locations

As soon as you enter that cave, you’ll hear a Crusher Puppet calling you out to your left. Talk with it and listen to all that it has to say to continue the quest.

The Brain in a Vat

Brain Location | Lies Of P: Overture - All Record Locations - Memory's Melody Trophy

For the final step, reach the Pistris Harbor Stargazer in Overture Chapter 3. Go down from the Stargazer to the big platform at the bottom and look for a path made out of wooden planks. Take that path.

Brain in a Vat

You’ll find the Brain in a Vat there, which asks you to help him. When the choice selection appears, make sure to select “Help him” to end the quest. You’ll receive the Nightmare Record as your reward.

SURVIVOR

SURVIVOR | Lies Of P: Overture - All Record Locations - Memory's Melody Trophy

Yet another of all the Record locations in Lies of P: Overture that requires you to complete a quest, so you really need to put in a lot of work for the Memory’s Melody trophy! Anyway, in this case, you need to complete The Tracker’s full questline. Since that once is a lot more involved, here are links to all of our detailed guides for each step:

When you fully complete all of these steps, The Tracker will ask you a question. When the dialogue choice appears, make sure to select “They will be, and Krat will be saved.” This counts as a lie, but the other option doesn’t give you the SURVIVOR Record.

Worth noting that some people didn’t receive SURVIVOR even when selecting the proper dialogue here. It’s unknown what causes this, but it’s most likely a bug of some sort. Sadly, we don’t know of a workaround if this happens to you. If you can, back up your save before finishing the quest so you can try again.

SURVIVOR (Red)

SURVIVOR (Red) | Lies Of P: Overture - All Record Locations - Memory's Melody Trophy

This is the final regular record you can get in Overture DLC, and it only becomes available once you complete the DLC. Return to Eventide Hotel Krat after the DLC’s credits and you will see some white butterflies tracing lines. Follow the butterfly that goes up the stairs.

Lea's Room 1

The butterfly will lead you past the Golden Tree, to a locked gate. Open it with the key you received from the final boss and then enter the room behind the gate.

Lea's Room 2

You’ll find Lea’s Recollection and the Memory of Halcyon Days items on a table there. Check Lea’s Recollection in your inventory and listen to it fully to receive the SURVIVOR (Red) Record.

The Clear Blue Sky (Gold) – New Game+ Only

The Clear Blue Sky (Gold) | Lies Of P: Overture - All Record Locations - Memory's Melody Trophy

You can purchase this record from the merchant near the Carnival Garden Stargazer. To reach him, just approach the carousel and then go left. You should see a wooden platform that you can drop down from, which will place you right in front of where the merchant is.

Carnival Merchant

This record costs 9000 Ergo and, as mentioned in the title, is only available in New Game+. If you’re wondering: yes, this does mean you need a New Game+ save. At least, if you want to be able to get all Records and the Memory’s Melody trophy in Lies of P: Overture!

However, the New Game+ seems to be tied to the base game, not Overture itself. So, if you already started New Game+ in the base game, this record should be for sale on your first Overture run. It’s not necessary to beat Overture itself twice.

Nightmare (Gold) – New Game+ Only

Nightmare (Gold) | Lies Of P: Overture - All Record Locations - Memory's Melody Trophy

You can purchase this Gold Record from Klaus at the Eventide Hotel Krat. He starts selling it after you bring him the Luxury Bag, which you can find by the Elixir Research Zone Stargazer in Overture Chapter 2. It costs 1 Ancient Disk to purchase. No Ergo required here!

Lisrim (Gold) – New Game+ Only

Lisrim (Gold) | Lies Of P: Overture - All Record Locations - Memory's Melody Trophy

Another New Game+ exclusive! You can purchase this one from the merchant next to the Archon Fleet Shipwrecks. As long as you’re in any NG+ cycle, the merchant will sell this record for 9000 Ergo.

If you’ve followed our guide in order, this will be the last of all the DLC Records you need. With all of the Lies of P: Overture Records in your possession, you now just need to listen to them all at Hotel Krat to receive the Memory’s Melody trophy or achievement. Congratulations, you’ve done it!
