Lies of P: Overture is a prequel DLC that adds quite a bit of new content that you can go through at your own pace. Among the new additions, which include a few bosses and some secrets that you can uncover, are some side quests that require you to run around the handful of maps in this small but substantial DLC. Here is a guide on literally all of them, if you somehow needed an entire compendium.

Lies of P Overture – All Side Quests Locations & Guide

Side Quest #1 – Rosaura’s Quest

For this first one, you simply need to talk to Rosaura at the Carnival. She is sitting on a chest at the garden area, right in front of a cardboard cutout of some balloons. This is literally just to the side of the stargazer at the Carnival Garden area, so you cannot possibly miss her.

By talking to her, she will eventually talk about her missing shoes, which you can help her with. You do not need to choose every dialogue option, as long as you have talked to her about her shoes and have agreed to help her.

From here, head to the Ferris Wheel. You will not need any directions for this, as you can definitely already see it from where Rosaura was located. Just head over there and wait for one of the open carriages to swing your way so you can enter.

While you are inside the carriage, wait until the Ferris Wheel takes you in front of a wooden walkway that you can exit into. Jump off the carriage before it goes past that area, or else you will have to wait for it to make another full rotation.

From there, make your way forward into the roof of a yellow tent, which takes you to a carousel that is fully active. Avoid the horses and open the red chest at the side to retrieve the Rose Shoes item. With this on hand, you can now return to Rosaura and complete the quest!

Side Quest #2 – Rosaura Isn’t Done Yet

At the Ergo Excavation Site, you will find Rosaura again just beside the stargazer of the aforementioned zone. Speak with her once more and offer to give her one of your Ergos. As a reward, you will get various items, as well as the heart emote and some humanity.

You will find her a third time at the lighthouse. If you climb to the top of the lighthouse and then use the gap at the railings to descend down the side of the building, you will eventually find her standing near one of the ladders.

All you have to do in this spot is to simply speak with her. After going through all of her lines, she will reward you with a photo and another piece of a drawing. You are done for now and are free to leave this area.

Finally, you can fully complete her questline by finishing the DLC first and then returning to the original timeline of the base game. There, you will find her once more at the Krat City Hall Courtyard, where she will grant you the final piece of the drawing, forming the Drawing of a Family item.

Side Quest #3 – Goddard’s Quest

For this one, you will find Goddard, The Blind Painter at the Zoo Tram Station. It is the NPC on a wheelchair who is sitting in front of an easel. This is located very close to a stargazer, so it is impossible to miss them.

Next, head to the jail area and find the Goddard’s Art Supplies item on a table just beside a covered up corpse. You can then bring this to her, allowing the blind painter to get to work. You will be rewarded with a Dim Ergo Chunk.

The quest does not end here, though. Near the end of the DLC, you can come back to this spot and claim the Painter’s Sky from her, which is the finished product of her efforts. The note she left behind states that, by helping her, you have restored her “lost light” and have allowed her to finish her work.

She only asks that you show the painting to as many people as possible so that the world can truly acknowledge its worth. That is actually a hint for the final step that you have to do, which is to simply head back to the hotel and hang it up one of the walls.

Side Quest #4 – The Crusher Puppet’s Quest

Once you reach the Excavation Site, you will eventually run into a Crusher Puppet that will be calling out to you. If you speak with it, they will tell you all about how this is not their original body and asks for your help.

As they stated, you must venture deeper into the ruins to find them. So, following this advice, you will eventually find them deeper in the mines. Just listen for another robotic voice calling out to you. Because of how loud they shout “I’m here, over here!”, it is nearly impossible to miss them.

Again, though, they will ask you to go even deeper into this dank area. Venturing even deeper will eventually take you to yet another broken Crusher Puppet, which is leaning on the side of a rock wall.

This time, you can ask them a few questions for some much needed answers. The voice behind these machines will reveal that they are Alexander, an alchemist who claims to be friendly. Ask them about their story and you will learn more about their current situation.

Humorously, you will receive the Doubt emote as they are speaking. After you have exhausted their dialogue options, you should now make your way to the stargazer at Pistris Harbor. Descending from that spot and going into a small room near the platform over water will lead you to Alexander.

It turns out that he is just a brain in a vat, but he does not know that. Reveal the truth to him, and you will then be given an option to either help him or not. We’ll let you decide what you think is the best course of action.

Side Quest #5 – Salao’s Quest

For this one, fast travel to the Shipwreck Exterior of chapter 4. There, walk around a bit and you will find Salao leaning against a dead fish that he has just beaten. You cannot miss him, as he is sitting beside a lit fire barrel that sticks out from the environment.

Talk to him and ask about what happened and how you can help. He will then ask you to look for a person name Manolin at the village and retrieve a beer for him. Instead of finding this person, just head to the Krat Lighthouse instead.

Climb up the stairs until you encounter an open room to the side, which contains a lot of items and some bottles on shelves. There, you can retrieve the Old Bottle of Beer, along with a young fisherman’s letter.

Upon returning to Salao, give him the beer and lie to him. Tell him that everybody in the village cheered for his catch, even though you know that everybody is already dead.

As a reward, you will be granted some humanity and a Fisherman’s Weahtered Key. This can be used to open his house near the lighthouse, which will contain some notes that you can read. The quest is already done by this point, though, so you do not need to do this if you do not want to.

And that wraps it up for this guide, as there are no more side quests left after this. They are merely simple fetch quests for the most part, so you really do not need to look far and wide to start and complete these.

While you are at it, make sure to check out our guide on all of the Black Rabbit Hole Key and secret door locations in Lies of P: Overture for more optional side content to complete. Some of these locations will actually take you very close to some of the quest objectives in this guide, so you can start doing them both at the same time!
