Frosted Cipher Machine Decrypt Guide | Lies Of P: Overture
You can find the Frosted Cipher Machine itself partway through Overture Chapter 4. Just follow the main path from the Archon Fleet Shipwrecks Stargazer until you reach the spot where you drop down to the Shipwreck Exterior Stargazer.
You’ll find a vault at the top of the ship there, right before the Shipwreck Exterior Stargazer. It’s pretty hard to miss since it’s on the main path. Nonetheless, open that vault and grab the items within to collect the Frosted Cipher Machine.
Now, just like the Bloody Cipher Machine and the Corroded Cipher Machine, your next step is to go to the Eventide Hotel Krat. Talk to The Tracker and give the Frosted Cipher Machine to him. He will decrypt it and give you the clue for your next step.

Following the clue, go to the Krat Lighthouse Stargazer next. It’s in Overture Chapter 4, as well.
At the lighthouse, just go forward and down the stairs.
You should notice a plate of sorts that you can investigate, as shown on the decrypted cipher. Stand on the plate, though you’ll need to put some weight on. Equip items until P’s weight changes to Heavy or Very Heavy.
You can do that by equipping heavier weapons and Amulets. If you already got it, the Giant’s Amulet is also perfect for this. You can buy the Giant’s Amulet from the merchant next to the Archon Fleet Shipwrecks Stargazer. It only costs 120 Ergo, so you probably already bought it!
Once you’re heavy enough to push the plate down, a fake wall will move to reveal a hidden room. Go into the room and grab the Lighthouse Keeper’s Journal.
With that done, return to The Tracker in Eventide Hotel Krat and report your findings. Since this is likely your final Cipher Machine in Overture, you’ll get the Famed Detective’s Coat and Famed Detective’s Hat as cosmetics. You’ll also get the “Tracker of the Dark Secrets” trophy or achievement.
Additionally, you’ll get a dialogue choice by The Tracker. We recommend picking “They will be, and Krat will be saved” here. This will earn you the SURVIVOR Record, as well. Do keep in mind it’s a lie, though, if you’re trying to go for a no-lies playthrough!
