Corroded Cipher Machine Decrypt Guide in Lies Of P: Overture

Lies Of P: Overture features its own version of Cryptic Vessels in the form of Cipher Machines. Completing these Cipher Machines can net you rewards – some of which become useful down the line as you progress through the game. As their name suggests, they can be quite confusing to figure out on your own – as is the nature of the game. One such Cipher Machine you can come across is the Corroded Cipher Machine. In this guide, we’ll show you how you can solve and complete the Corroded Cipher Machine. Let’s get into it!

Corroded Cipher Machine Decrypt Guide

The Corroded Cipher Machine will require you to complete various objectives in the Ergo Mining Site location of Lies of P: Overture. So, if you want to get access to the machine, you’ll need to have access to the Stargazer here.

Obtain Corroded Cipher Machine (Location)

Starting off, to proceed with the decrypt, you will need to actually obtain the Corroded Cipher Machine. You can do this by defeating the Bulldozer in the Ergo Mining Site.

If you’re struggling to find the Bulldozer, we’ll show you the directions.

Starting from the Ergo Mining Site Stagarzer, make your way to the first lift that takes you above. You can access it by going to the other side of the mining area and climbing up.

From here, enter the tunnel that you see on your right.

Proceed further inside until you come across another lift. Ignore this lift and instead turn to the right.

Continue moving forward and go straight over the two bridges you come across.

Eventually, you should come across a wall with a broken miner puppet next to it. You can even interact with this puppet. Keep a note of this wall’s location, as you’ll be coming to it later on.

Proceed to the right of the wall and you’ll come across another lift. Take this lift to the other side and continue going straight.

Eventually, you’ll drop down and face off against the Bulldozer. Defeat this mini boss and you’ll obtain the Corroded Cipher Machine.

Go To The Tracker

Once you get the Corroded Cipher Machine, go back to the Eventide Hotel Krat. Here, go to the Tracker NPC and select the ‘Decrypt a cipher machine‘ option.

Next, hand over the Corroded Cipher Machine and he’ll give you a clue.

After decrypting, he will also give you the Decrypted Text with a hint about the next location you want to go to. This is the same wall with broken miner puppet that we told you to keep track of.

So, head to the wall there from the Ergo Mining Site stargazer.

Break The Wall

After you’ve decrypted the Corroded Cipher Machine, head to the wall with the broken miner puppet. Make sure that you bring along some Thermite with you as you’ll be using this to break the wall.

After equipping the Thermite, throw it on the wall and it will break open.

Return To The Tracker

Now that you’ve uncovered the secrets of the mines, head back to Eventide Hotel Krat with the Misfit’s Diary. Talk to the Tracker and Report on Krat’s dark secrets.

He will express his opinions on the unfortunate incident before giving you the Ancient Disk as a reward. Doing so will also conclude the Corroded Cipher Machine questline!

This Ancient Disk can be used later down the line, as you can trade it with an NPC you meet in the future.
